sounds like one i rode at Ceder Point in OH this year....its called the "Top Thrill Dragster" 125-130 mph in a matter of seconds, straight up 90 degrees, over a hill and straight down, then the final streach.

I was told that i was in the car, talking to my brother and once the ride ended i had and still have no recolition of talking to him.

I wonder if it'll feel like a really fucked up hook turn. Six Flags over Texas has the Titan which has a turn that feels exactly like a really agreesive hook turn and will totally fuck your site picture since your mind is yelling "dumbass you're about to die, you just hooked it in!"

there are a couple coasters at the Six Flags in VA that use this same principle, pretty fucking sweet I must say! I've never been much for roller coasters since I started jumping, but Area 51 and Volcano (I THINK that's what they're called) kick ass.

I think the system works with electomagnets, a-la-rail gun. Is that right?

Depends on the company. If S&S makes it, it will be air launched. Superman at Magic Mountain, all the Vertical Velocity rides, Volcano, and the one Gimp was talking about at Cedar Point are all LIM (magnets).

This circuit launched coaster is still new. Hell, the Superman Ride in CA (400ft) was down most of the year as was the one at Cedar Point (and a bad injury).

Hope this one out east works out better.
