Freeflaw 0 #1 November 4, 2009 Is it possible to fit a 210 storm/spectre/tri into a Wings container made to hold a 190 sabre II? I've heard of such feats being accomplished, though this may wear out or require a worn out container to be achieved. Thats just hearsay and guesses respectively though. councilman24 37 #2 November 4, 2009 Realize that you may not be able to fit a SABRE II 190 in a rig that list that as a max. Individual canopies vary in pack volume and individual containers vary in size. If you have a particular set at the max with a little bit bigger canopy and a little bit smaller container it might not fit. LET ALONE ONE BEYOND THE MAX! Yes, you might have the opposite and it might work. And you can probably do it, with some decrease in safety, for a few jumps. But don't ever expect it to be satisfactory and if it is consider yourself lucky.edit to add; BTW my answer doesn't consider low packing fabric options. If a Triathlon is available in the lower volume fabric it may work. I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
airtwardo 7 #3 November 4, 2009 I'm currently jumping a Zpo 210 in a container made for a Zpo 170...The challenge isn't getting it in the container...it's getting it in the BAG! Once packed... and I jump up & down on it a dozen times, the bag fits the container nicely. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

Will it work? Pin protection will likely be compromised and you are at greater risk for cracking stiffeners, but it will likely work.
tkhayes 348 #5 November 5, 2009 Sabre is 9 cells, spectre and storm are 7 cells, so less fabric. as long as you stick to microline or similar, then it should fit OK want to know for sure? Pick up the phone, and call the manufacturer, Wings, with the model/serial # of your gear.
g3ninfinite 0 #7 November 6, 2009 are you only interested in those canopies in 210? PULSE 210 and you get to keep all nine cells... might fit.
verticalflier 0 #8 November 6, 2009 Answer to your question is simple. Pilot 210 ZPX or Triathlon in ZPX will fit into your container without hassle. That is what ZPX was developed for no more guessing, no more hybrid half-measures. Check out www.flyaerodyne.com for what we have in stock.
hackish 8 #9 November 6, 2009 I packed a Spec-190 in a Vector 348 which is meant for a 170. My own rig is a Javelin made for a 170 and this summer I was jumping a Westway 200 in it. It was not that much of a challenge on a hot humid day. I'll never be as good as someone else but a neat packjob goes in nicer than an ugly fluffy one so sometimes size recommendations are based on averages. TK probably gave the best advice here. Manufacturers know their rig the best. -Michael
Toasted_Cracker 0 #10 November 8, 2009 Well, as screwed up as this sounds im jumping a PD210 F111 canopy in a Wings container that is made for a 170 max. Its a royal pain to pack but it will go. I defiantly don't recommend it though. Im getting a pulse 190 as soon as I can.
