BoonDock question

Recommended Posts

Hey, I know there are many boondock fans on this board. Sound off, I've got a question.

Veritas, Aequitas (Truth and Equality/Justice) See attached pic.

I do not recall. What was tatooed on the fathers hand and what does it mean?

The Latin tattoos "Veritas" and "Aequitas" on the brothers' hands mean "verity (truth)" and "equity (justice)", respectively.

I know that silly. That's in my post. [:/]

The question is: What did the father have tattooed on his hand. And what does it mean?

That movie is awesome. I watched it for the first time last night.

BEER! lol.

Yeah, it is indeed an excellent flick. One of my favorites. But I'm sitting here scratchin' my head, trying to remember that third tat. What a pain in the neck.

I looked online, but you have to slog through a bunch of useless crap in fansites just to find the same thing as all the others, but not what you're looking for.

If I were at home, I'd try to check it on my DVD, but I'm not.

Did find one cool thing: Troy Duffy has an appearance in McGinty's bar as the overall-wearing patron. Didn't know that. B| Oh, and STYX is going to do one of the soundtrack songs for the sequel, 'cause they're huge fans.

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

AggieDave was the first person that told me about the movie. We drove 30 miles to rent it on an skydiving weekend trip so I could see it. Promptly ordered it from Canada, as it was the only place you could get the DVD back then.

I bet between AD and I, we have seen it 100 times and passed it on to nearly as many people. Great cult flick.

Check out Donnie Darko, watch the orig first, not the dir. cut. Totally different, but a nice mind job.
