ifall 0 #1 September 30, 2004 So I talk to my sister and she tells me they have a cat at work (she's a vet tech) to try to adopt out to someone. Turns out one of the clients is moving and can't take her cat so she brought it to the vet to be PUT TO SLEEP!!! That isn't happening and I told her I'd try to help her find a new home for it. I would take her in in an instant but can't. The cat is five years old, female spayed, declawed and SUPER friendly. If anyone wants her shes your's. I am in Cincinnati and can travel a little to meet someone if need be. Oh, and I will be at SGC this weekend if someone wants to meet up there to get her. How can someone be so thoughtless. Thanks for your time.........
peregrinerose 0 #2 September 30, 2004 Oh, that's sick. Hell, if you can't find anyone else, I'll take it. I live near Harrisburg, PA though, so it's a hell of a drive. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
flyinghonu 0 #3 September 30, 2004 Oh yes, you have to love those pet owners who decide that death is appropriate for the animal if it in any way inconveniences them . What a jerk! Not in OH but if you & the cat feel like taking a trip to So Cal, add me to the back-up list. Isn't there a crazy cat lady or something that will take her?!? ifall 0 #4 September 30, 2004 I'll keep that in mind. I like road trips and I have a 4 day weekend. Could always meet halfway.
misskriss 0 #5 September 30, 2004 I'm in Va Bch but I'd take the kitty too. I remember reading somewhere about a group of people who travel to take pets to new homes. I've been trying to research it but I can't remember the name of the group so it's been impossible for me to dig up. I wonder if the owner would pay to have it flown somewhere? ifall 0 #6 September 30, 2004 Used to be a lady around town named crazy Rosie when I was a kid. Don't know what happened to her but we were all kinda freaked out by her. Her house was spooky looking. She was one of those lady's whose lipstick was around her lips not on them. So Cal would be fun if I could at this time.
ifall 0 #7 September 30, 2004 Well she already paid $45 to put her down. My sis (and the vet) took the money anyway out of spite. Yay for her!!!
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #8 September 30, 2004 QuoteTurns out one of the clients is moving and can't take her cat so she brought it to the vet to be PUT TO SLEEP!!! That's SICK! I had to get rid of my dogs and hated it! I took the time to find homes for them both, one in central Fla. I drove up there, interviewed them, checked out the place, made sure my dog and theirs got along, etc, etc. The other not far from here, but also interviewed, checked pet compatibility, etc. It is irresponsible and just plain cruel to do anything else. Especially put the animal out just because it's an inconvenience. Meanie! :( Angela.
ifall 0 #9 October 1, 2004 Just checking back in, had some things to take care of so I couldn't stay long earlier. I don't really trust many people so that's why I posted here. I think there are a lot of very good people here, even though I haven't met any of you yet (I hope that changes). Maybe I'm just a little naive but, I just want to find a good home for her. peregrinerose 0 #10 October 1, 2004 Just PM me if you want to get her to us. We have 3 cats, 2 dogs (very cat friendly dogs), a rabbit and guinea pig. So she'd have plenty of company and be spoiled rotten. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
