Aerostore dicked me over $85.00

Thanks for the heads-up, Jib. If nobody ever complains, how are we to know the good from the bad?

I had a similar situation a few years ago when I waited 6 months on a pair of freefly pants. I complained online and, as expected, there were a bunch of a-holes ready to defend the company.

Deposit or not, if I say I'm going to hold something for you, then I'll do it. That's just good business.

Okay, I'm the guilty party here.
I just want everybody to know I feel really bad about this. Yes, we were packing up to drive out
to Rantoul. We had a huge amount of stuff.
This guy called and said he was interested in the helmet,which was brand new and we only had one of. I told him we were be bringing it out and I even wrote his name on a slip of paper.
I told my co-worker that a guy called who was interested in the helmet and that was that. I felt terrible when he showed up and the helmet was already sold. I never saw it go. We bent over backward to give everybody good service. I guess we failed that time. But I think 99 percent of the jumpers had a positive experience with us.

I treat people the way I would want to be treated. Customer Service is of the utmost importance but don't jerk my chain. Either you have the money or you don't. I don't have time to sit and HOPE I am going to get paid for something.My check depends on what I sell not what I think I might,maybe hope and pray to sell....

It's been a while. Never heard anything from Aerostore.

Just ordered an Optik Illusion and should have it for the Keys Boogie. :)

Man, How often do you raise hell and publicly deride a company because of a mistake. I won't pretend to know the details but don't you think slamming Aerostore on the main skydive community website might be a little extreme? I don't know but I sense that you are a squeaking wheel.

I said I would follow up if they did anything. They didn't in spite of posting to this thread and allowing some time to pass. Had they done anything, I would've have posted that here too. Case closed.

Do I think it was extreme to post this thread in the first place? No.
