If you broke that down and gave 1,000 people each 5,000,000 euros, think of how much more good that would do. Or 5,000 people 1,000,000 euros. Just assuming that each person will give something to charity from that princely sum, you have to figure that more people would be benefited from distributing that more widely. What the fuck can one person do with that many billions, personally? Where can you even keep that much money, if bank accounts are uninsured beyond a set amount? Let's say an example of $5,000,000 in the U.S., where the government insures deposits to only $100,000 -- and I don't know if that's per account, or per depositor. You go putting $5,000,000 into an account and the bank embezzles it and then goes bankrupt... congratulations on your $100,000 lottery winning, Mr. Smith!
