Help! Should I cut my hair???

Recommended Posts

I you have long thick red wavy hair don't cut it. SO SEXY.

Should I cut mine? I'm asian and I have a mullet. I like the novelty of the combination. :)

But donating your hair is such a great thing to do....so I guess it comes down to your decision...You'll look gorgeous with short or long hair I'm sure.

Clicked on your pics. You are absolutely beautiful by the way. (why can girls say other girls are attractive, but guys would die before saying another guy is cute... assuming all parties are straight??)

I think your hair would look good no matter what you did with it. Don't cut it off insanely short, maybe start with 3-4 inches off and see how you like it. Just go from there.

Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

and one more thing, if I showed up at home with shorter hair AND a tattoo, my dad would freak!!! ( he loves long hair and hates tattoos!)

I say:

1/ Cut you hair off. Change of look also helps refreshing the mind
2/ Get your nipple pierced. That way, your dad won't even pay attention to the tattoo...;)>:(

yeah, that's actually what inspired me! A girl on my floor with really long hair gave her hair to locks of love and her new haircut looks fresh and up to date.. Honestly though, I don't think mine's long enough to donate...[:/]

You only need 12" to donate. It isn't really all that much. I cut of 12" to donate and still had hair below the shoulders.

I hear ya on the same old long hair thing. Then, when it comes out a little in freefall, and you have to spend 30 minutes brushing through it later on... ugh! I am thinking of cutting mine a bit, too, but thing is you want to have enough to bun it, or short enough to put under your helmet i'd suppose. I don't want that odd length that makes everything complicated. I think i'm just too used to seeing myself with long hair (below shoulders), I don't know if I could cope with it short, lol!

Good luck!
Angela .

OK, a two part answer
1) You have great features that a shorter style could accent

2) From this guy's point of view, I don't really notice that a girl has the same hairstyle for a long time. I will notice if it's changed but other than that, I don't put that much thought in to it. My wife has sported three different styles in the nine years (married and dating) that we've been together. I never got tired of any of them-She is a beautiful girl and all of them looked great to me.

If it is 'beloved' than why cut it? Personally, I had hair down to my butt, cut it & gave to the wigs foundation (to help people undergoing chemo) though I knew I did a good thing & it was easier to exercise, I hated it for three years. It's now to my lower back & I won't cut it unless I have to. I'll donate it then too if need be. You have GREAT hair girl. I am sure everyone tells you so.

I say cut it off and donate it to a foundation that makes wigs for kids with cancer.

You can always grow it back B|

PERFECT idea!= no fear of a change that will help children:)

I need some serious advice, I'm contemplating cutting my forever beloved hair. Lemme ask you guys a question: don't you get sick of seeing someone with the same old hairstyle, day in and day out for over 5 years???

No, not if it looks attractive the way it is.
Do people look at the Mona Lisa a lot and start to wish she'd been painted differently? :P

If it looks good on you the way it is, change it only if YOU want to see a change.

I'm with your dad. I don't hate tattoos, but they are a turnoff if they are not tasteful, or if they leave me thinking that they were selected with crappy judgment -- like they're too "dated," too big, too obvious (and can't ever be concealed if need be), too faddish, too unoriginal... I think that the best tattoos (on a woman, mind you -- and standards change for a man, in my view) are those that are small, dainty, and can be seen only if they are deliberately allowed to show.

What tattoo did you get, and where?

1st: [Wolf Whistle] Construction site comment goes here :P

2nd: I do like long hair, I love the way it feels, looks, bounces, etc.

3rd: You could probably cut it shorter and if you straightened it, could be the same length.

4th: You should go as Lady Godiva for Halloween!!! :)

Well, I have kept my hair long ( past my shoulders), red, and thick and wavy for the past 5 years or more. I'm afraid to part with it honestly, but I think a change is in order. What should I do???
(Keep in mind my hair is my favorite feature) I mean, do you guys, especially you men, hate seeing someone with the same long hair over and over again??
