SarahC07 0 #1 October 5, 2004 I'm looking for 'high energy' songs... songs with fast tempos... I do not want to hear people screaming or yelling or anything else annoying ... and I'm not a huge fan of rap, either. Any suggestions?

AggieDave 6 #5 October 5, 2004 You want fast country, fast rock, fast disco, fast techno, fast jazz, fast classical...what do you want girl? SarahC07 0 #6 October 5, 2004 Honestly, I'm looking for tunes to run to... the same old stuff gets boring... what do you suggest dave? (only one requirement: gotta have lyrics!! not instrumental only)
AggieDave 6 #7 October 5, 2004 Tunes to run to? Remember, I've got a shitload of running jodies in MP3 you can have. They'll run you between a 6 and 7 minute pace. Beyond that, Rammstein works well, as does the Rocky 4 soundtrack...I've got a lot of shit that's great for running and/or lifting weights.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." flyinghonu 0 #9 October 5, 2004 My new favorite song right now (although not super fast) "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service. Hey, kind' makes a good skydiving song too! "Excuse me while I kiss the sky..." - Jimi Hendrix

SarahC07 0 #11 October 5, 2004 Ok, I'm not a big fan of that one (Such Great Heights)... it seems like the same thing over and over again... But thanks for the suggestion...
champu 1 #12 October 5, 2004 QuoteMy new favorite song right now (although not super fast) "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service. Most of the album Give Up makes a decent running CD. I actually like running to Drum and Bass myself. The album True Colors by High Contrast is a good one, particularly the songs "Return of Forever" and "Passion"
captain1 0 #13 October 5, 2004 Yes, it is called a Rave. Law enforcement calls it a Raid. Find one in your local area and leave before big brother cometh your way.
Chivo 0 #14 October 6, 2004 For running I usually like to play tunes with a tempo I can keep up with. Its easier for me to run to a beat, otherwise I lose my pace. So I find songs that have certain tempo and voila! I've even gotten a few cadences to jog to. You know, lots of percussion. :-) Other songs I like include Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiment, Tied up in Gear by Yello, and the like... ~Chivo

Go to Boxelder and you can order their self-produced CDs that are excellent. Very high-energy, upbeat music with positive messages. Rock with a reggae influence on some songs. For a "local" band, they are unbelievable. I think they're soon to be "discovered." I would get either "What For?" or "Live, Under the Sun" to start with. -Jeffrey-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" Muppetdog 0 #17 October 6, 2004 I am currently trainning for the New York Marathon and for speed work the theme for this time around has got to be Audio Slave. It keeps the pace nice and fast for those killer tempo runs. Blues, Mark
SarahC07 0 #18 October 6, 2004 Hey thanks, that was probably one of the best suggestions yet... The Corrs are not exactly a band to run to...
