Dougiefresh 0 #5 October 7, 2004 QuoteRetired racing greyhounds make great pets. It's true, all they ask is 10 minutes of hauling ass, then they sleep the rest of the day. Some people think they have a bad reputation, but they're really sweet dogs, very calm.Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

I'm thinking of adopting an older dog. That's awesome of you. I adopted my guys a little over a year ago and they're 11 and 10 years old now. Sometimes I wonder what they'd have been like as puppies, but the truth is I couldn't have asked for more lovable and well-trained pups. Good on you for going the adoption route, especially w/ older dogs. -C.

Yay dogs!! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
