What's the best thing that's come from dropzone.com?

Recommended Posts

Yeah, this has probably been done before, but times and people have changed, and I was just thinking about this the other day. What are some of the greatest things, for you, that have come from this site?

As a total newbie to skydiving, makes me aware of just what can go wrong, keeps me realistic and asking questions.

Plus keeps me entertained when it's slow at work. And speaker's corner makes me think a lot, I like that. Even if everyone on there is all wrong. ;)

Back in 2001, I had quit skydiving because of some unfortunate incidents I had early on. I found the forums back when the site was pretty small. Reading them made me realize how much I missed skydiving and it gave me the encouragement and confidence to go back to the sky. The site was the catalyst that changed my life in so many ways. Now I'm a moderator too...funny how things turn out. :)

The many laughs.
The cyber friends I have made.
The B.S. in Speaker's Corner that I find entertaining.
The plethora of knowledge about skydiving while I have been grounded.
Last, but certainly not least.....BOOBIES!

DIZZIE DOT COM has meant meeting so many new friends. No matter where I travel to.. there is always someone there I have chatted with online. I have learned about new aspects of skydiving that did not exist back in the old days. And now I am doing them.

Oh and some here online are very spankable:P

oh my gosh Val you read my mind! I was actually thinking about posting a "what I love about dz.com" last night. I have met a lot of really cool people, found rides to the dropzone w/ local jumpers, learned A LOT about skydiving, especially safety issues, found out about events, what to look for in gear, and I have had so much fun getting to know people on here, getting to see their lovely faces. So, thanks to the moderators and everyone else for keeping dz.com alive...I feel like I'm gonna be a better jumper because of all I have learned from this site, plus I have a few creative ideas of fun jumps to do. Thanks everyone! :)Sarah
