David Lund

24 years old

I'm a senior (again) at Texas A&M University and I am a TI/Coach to pay the bills.

My first jump was May 21, 2000 at Eagle Flight Skydiving in Granbury, Texas. It was a static line jump one a Laser9 288 out of a 182.

My most memorable...well theres a couple. The pumpkin jump comes to mind, as does Morgan's first jump, I took her on a tandem. Of course the jump that I proposed marrage with is definately memorable.

Philosophy.. to have fun, never make it feel like work and don't ever do anything stupid to get myself killed.

I like the challange of the sport the most because I seem to have issues in every area due to my size.. but I make it through :)
What I least like is the dz drama.. it's hard not to get involved

My philosophy is to never stop learning and to have fun, no matter what I'm doing. I have goals and have had goals for each step of my skydiving, so I'm really goal orientated with skydiving, but I'm not a competitor.

I love the challenge of the sport, no matter how good you think you are, there is someone better then you. No matter how much you learn, there is always more to learn. No matter how easy a skill looks, its pretty hard and takes practice. Most of all, I really love instructing students and getting to take people on their first skydive.

What I like least? Bullshit attitudes. Just because you have 10x's the number of jumps I have doesn't make you better then me. Just because you have 10x's less the number of jumps then I do doesn't make me better then you either. We're all people, you'll catch my jump numbers quickly and I"ll catch up to your numbers before you know it, so the bullshit in between is pointless.

Life philosopy? Hell, that's a long answer.

I guess the short answer is I dream to be a good husband and a good father.

If I could jump anywhere I would jump in a mystical land where there's no wind or light downwinds for swooping and a nice 5mph wind for tandems.;)

occupation: engineer... soon to be engineering student... in 9 months or so...B|

1st jump: 24 March 2004, AFF, hooked before I got out of the plane.

Fav Jump: most recient H&P could see the plane leaving and it was so smooth and soft...

Jump philosophy: have fun, be safe, and learn something new every time...

best: the view, the people, the fact that every day at the DZ is a party.

worst: DZ politics, "better then thou" syndrom I sometimes see...
