Conundrum 1 #1 October 9, 2004 Girl believes bones belong to dead friend COLUMBUS, Georgia, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- The family of a Georgia fifth-grader found bones of a child under the floor of their home and the child believes the bones belong to her imaginary friend. Stephanie Ogden said a friendly black girl in a white dress began visiting her room about five years ago. "She told me that somebody put her in the floor," Ogden said. "She said he had a mask on, and that he chopped her up. She didn't know who the person was, because he had a mask on." Marion Stewart, Ogden's great-grandmother, said her great-granddaughter used to tell her family about the friend, but the adults always dismissed the stories as being the product of a child's imagination. Last weekend, while the family was remodeling, they discovered the bones of a child under the floor of the trailer covered with insulation and duct tape, the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer reported Tuesday. "I'm not a psychic, and I don't believe in some of that stuff," Stewart said. "But I believe this is a soul who has not been put to rest." That is creepy - I've seen a lot of trailer parks in my life but I don't ever recall seeing a double wide that would be sturdy enough to pass down through several generations. Second - How bad would the place have to smell for the occupants not to notice the odor of a decaying corpse lying underneath the trailer - I seriously doubt some insulation and duct tape could hide that kind of stench. ScottishJohn 25 #6 October 9, 2004 Was the duct tape on the bones ? Would duct tape be available at the time the great granmother was a child or before she was born ?---------------------------------------------------------------------- If you think my attitude stinks you should smell my fingers
mouth 0 #7 October 9, 2004 You obviously dont understand rural GA culture. it looks to me like the 5th grade (10-11 y/o) girl lives with her great grandmother. Not uncommon around here. Quite possibly there are several generations living in this home. The girl used to tell the family about the "visitor" but nobody believed her so she most likely stopped. Now the body has been found. No telling how long (years) the body has been there. Poor child. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.

justaflygirl 0 #9 October 9, 2004 I totally believe in things like that, have they done any date analyzing or checked any missing reports from around the time that the child started seeing "her imaginary" friend. Call me a fruit case, but the paranormal does exist.
