Which is cool, but out of curiousity, what else do you do besides jump? There a handfull of people in what I call 'ethos sports' like surfing etc, that describe an ethos, that you would think is skydiving if taken out of context. I think it is a brotherhood that is bigger than skydiving, including other sports that have a spiritual/freedom ethos. So the whole all skydivers are hot/beautiful/cool thing does not go very far with me. Now, saying that anyone with the true vibe of jumping, ie. free flight, freedom, etc. has an appreciation for something many people will never feel, and that makes them attractive, I will buy that. But the next time someone gripes you out for not making a slot, or a jumper who thinks 'tanned rolls looks good, so I should show it' shows up, "all jumpers are hot" seems an odd response. Then you count out the married ones and apply my subjective hot definition....well there you go. It is definitely different at Aggieland, Spaceland, and even Skydive Dallas to a degree. But typically at 182 dzs, girls are scarce, and in the subset of freeflying even more so. flyingferret 0 #49 October 11, 2004 New postulate, which may ruffle some all skydivers are cool feathers: After spending a good portion of the weekend with a skychick that seems more fun every time I hang out with her, I am left with a chicken/egg dilemma. Thus, I wonder, is it perhaps not that skydiving really has much to do with the persona. Perhaps it simply works, that a lot of people with a cool vibe/persona are drawn to skydiving. After that the skydiving ethos tends to reenforce a mellow family vibe. I don't know, just full of thoughts this morning. This freefly chick is just a blast to spend time with and left me wishing the weekend would not end. It was glorious to feel for the first time in a while the feeling of spending time for no other reason than because it felt good, and being appreciated without any explanation at all.
