livendive 8 #5 October 11, 2004 My daughter got an A+ for the following paper a few years ago, but you'll likely have to add a bit to get to 1200 words. QuoteHow to Skydive Skydiving is a risky but fun sport. To skydive you need a parachute, jumpsuit, small plane, a pilot, an area of open land, and an altitude meter. First you need to put on your jumpsuit and a packed parachute, also you cannot forget to put on your altitude meter (on your wrist). After that get into the plane and gather up your guts. As soon as you get up to your desired height (at least 5,000 feet up) jump out, you can do tricks or whatnot until your altitude meter shows 1,000 feet (or higher) you pull the cord on the right side of your chest to open your parachute. You need to steer your body so you stay above the open area (it should be near where you started) to land. After that you grab your parachute, walk back to the place you started, pack your parachute and go again if you want to. Now that you know how to skydive, teach your friends so they can go with you because it's always more fun with more people. pilotdave 0 #7 October 11, 2004 Your daughter apparently doesn't spend enough time at the DZ... I've seen younger kids that could teach the FJC. But at least we know she didn't get help from daddy... Dave
