Need ideas for speakers

Recommended Posts

I'm a member of a group of women from my university who get together monthly for dinner and an informal talk on something both reasonably intelligent and fun.

Our speaker situation just imploded, and I need a bright idea for November 3rd. Anyone got any? It's the day after elections, so fluffy is probably better than substantive.

I'm not a great networker, so, well, I don't have a lot of people I can easily call on for this. So I'll ask my 10,000 best friends for ideas.

And I was going to recommend WharfdalesB|
Or for the truly eccentric, the very rare Cannon S50s, which I have in the garden room.:)

Are there any local authors in your area? Women preferably, but not necessarily. Always neat to hear an authors perspective about a particular piece of their work that maybe you guys are familiar w/. How they decided, were inspired, etc., how they got published, benefits, regrets... you see where I'm going w/ this. Some neat Q & A over dinner drinks. Good luck and what a marvelous idea!

That's my thought for the day!!! Whew!
I like coconuts. You can break them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun!

No they are wired but they have a very wide stereo sweet spot, are very heavy (dawgs and kids), and the dome thing keeps sudden rain off the electronic bits, so are perfect for taking outside.

But I really like their shape, which is why I bought them originally.
