CanuckInUSA 0 #1 October 12, 2004 I think the worst is over, but I'd just like to reiterate that being sick really does suck. I've been battling a flu bug for the last three days now what with a fever, head and body aches and of course an extremely sore throat. Did I mention that being sick really does suck? Aghhh ... hookitt 1 #2 October 12, 2004 So do leaches. Put one on your skin and it sucks.

chaoskitty 0 #4 October 12, 2004 Yah it does suck.. especially when you dont have any more clean pj's or tshirts, or sheets because you've sweat through all of them. Where the hell is that laundry fairy? Hope you feel better soon!

Who wants to do anything but ... aghhh ... suffer when they have the flu. At least the fever phase of my bug appears to be over (along with many of the head and body aches). Now if only the sore throat would take a hike. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
livendive 8 #7 October 12, 2004 Aawww....you poor little fucker... Look at the up side...when else do you have an excuse to do nothing but play video games and kill kittens for 16 hours a day? chaoskitty 0 #8 October 12, 2004 Yeah I get blessed with a nasty case of strep throat at least once a year, every year, since I was about 5 yrs old. I feel your pain. I know it sucks, but gargling with warm salt water helps clear the infection out of your throat.

ChasingBlueSky 0 #10 October 12, 2004 Think of all the positives! THe flu helps with the way your body deals with disease. Those that live in climates where the flu isn't as common tend to have a weaker immune system. See, betcha didn't think there was a good side to feeling like hell._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... CanuckInUSA 0 #11 October 12, 2004 Quotewhen else do you have an excuse to do nothing but play video games and kill kittens for 16 hours a day? WTF? Playing video games for 16 hours? I'm at work right now not at home playing sick. I should have stayed at home, but I don't want to waste a PTO day on a sick day when I could use it for jumping later on. And as far as killing kittens is concerned, maybe when I'm healthy. But killing kittens is low on the list of priorities at the moment. flyangel2 2 #12 October 12, 2004 Just great. I saw you Saturday, or was it Friday? Anyway; you were spreading germs. hookitt 1 #13 October 12, 2004 They don't call you flyangel2 for nothing do they Steve... remember the leaches. They suck. Really they do.
CanuckInUSA 0 #14 October 12, 2004 I saw you Saturday at the bridge. The shit started to hit the fan Saturday night and it got worse on Sunday (hence the reason why I wasn't around the bridge Sunday). I hope I didn't spread too many germs to too many people. Believe me I've already thought about this. By the way, what's the normal gestating time for the flu bug? I was exposed 2 1/2 weeks ago to a sick nephew while I was up north, but I thought if it was going to happen, it would have happened sooner than the 2 1/2 weeks. Other than that, I don't know who I would have been exposed to. But if a bunch of people who were in Canon City all of a sudden get sick, well you know who will be hiding. flyangel2 2 #16 October 12, 2004 Well if this bug does take 2 1/2 weeks to start it's ugly magic on people, that will still give me enough time to get well before my tunnel time in Nov. But, you need to ask yourself if you are feeling lucky. Are you? Lucky enough to see me on Thursday?May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
