heftee 0 #1 October 15, 2004 I bought (custom colors) a brand new PD Sabre2 135. I put 30 jumps on it and only 30 jumps. I am needing to sell it now. What is reasonable? PD's website says retail $1950. I didn't pay that. I won't say what I paid for it. Is there a formula or standard for what to sell it. Technically, it's used, but by ONLY 30 darn jumps. I got a seriously low balled offer on it and was insulted but not sure what is reasonable. slotperfect 7 #3 October 15, 2004 I just sold my Sabre2 190, DOM 2002, with 111 jumps on it. I sold it for $1150 here in the Dropzone.com Classifieds.Arrive Safely John
heftee 0 #4 October 15, 2004 So, someone offering $1200 for mine (DOM 2004 / 30 jumps) is unreasonable? I felt bad for thinking so and thought I should check. ------------------------- "If you've never jumped out of a plane, the best way I can describe it is it feels as if you've just jumped out of a freakin' plane." dgskydive 0 #5 October 15, 2004 Forget retail price. Nobody pays it. That canopy should have cost you no more then 1560.00 USD. So for someone to offer you 1200.00 to 1400.00 is not unreasonable. Considering it is used. Maybe only 30 jumps on it, but bottom line is that it is used.Dom
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #6 October 15, 2004 QuoteI bought (custom colors) a brand new PD Sabre2 135. I put 30 jumps on it and only 30 jumps. You have to remember that those are YOUR custom colors, and the canopy will not sell for what you bought it for. I'd not want to lose more than 300$ at this point, though, since it is so new. Sux you have to sell your brand new custom canopy, I won't be selling mine 'til it has at least 300 jumps on it (or, until I can fly it like a pro, whichever takes longer). Angela. heftee 0 #7 October 15, 2004 Good point. They are pretty standard colors; nothing too crazy, but I see your point. ------------------------- "If you've never jumped out of a plane, the best way I can describe it is it feels as if you've just jumped out of a freakin' plane."
