sangiro 26 #1 October 19, 2004 Heya folks, Quick update on the proxy errors and site slowness. It's load related. There's a lot of traffic and the 2 servers we currently have are struggling to deal with the load. When you look at the who's online stats you'll see there are now frequently 230+ registered users and the same number of guests online at the same time. We've also installed a new anti-spam application which works a lot harder at fighting spam, but also uses more resources. I upgraded to a dual server setup about a year ago. To think at the time I thought those two machines were HUGE! I attached the graph for the load on the database server. Gives you an idea. The application server is stretched in the same way. I've started discussions with my host to move to a cluster configuration. We will likely end up with 4 to 5 servers. It's a rather large, complex and costly setup though. It may take up to a month to get it done and tested so we'll also be looking at possible stop gaps in the meantime to help with the Proxy Errors.
