jumpergirl 0 #1 October 20, 2004 Does anyone know anything about the Rio de Janeiro Parachute Federation? I have a canopy for sale in the classifieds and have been contacted by someone who says they are very interested in the canopy. They want me to send it to the Rio de Janeiro Parachute Federation, check it out, and pay for it the day after it arrives. I have told them that I am not comfortable doing that and made other suggestions... like pay for it via Paypal and let me know if they want it or not. If they return it, then all money paid, minus the shipping cost for me to send it there, will be refunded. Can someone help me with this?? Paige 0 #2 October 20, 2004 Shouldn't matter if they are legit or not, go with PayPal. That is fair to you and fair to them. After all, they would not be on the loosing end if something went wrong. Look out for yourself because you are the only one who will. PayPal will avoid a lot of possible problems. If they have a problem using that method, then they are probably not as honest as you had hoped. I know I would have no problem doing that being on the buyer end. I would understand and do the same thing. jumpergirl 0 #3 October 20, 2004 That's basically what I was thinking, too. Paypal has a buyer protection service so it seems like a win-win situation.
