glgflyer 0 #1 October 2, 2009 I called Sunpath to ask this question but they are closed today. I will call them next week but I thought someone here might have this scenario so I will ask. I have a Jav J3 with a pilot 168 (regular ZP) in it. The J3 is built to hold 150-170 main. I am considering buying a new pilot 168 ZPX. I understand this material packs up much smaller than the regular ZP material. My question is: Will a pilot 168 ZPX safely fit into my J3 or will the pack volume be too small? Any responses will be much appreciated.
TonyJ 0 #2 October 3, 2009 i was going to ask the same question about a J-4.... Im demoing a reg. 168 now... it packs the same as my spectre 190... I tried to demo a zpx, but they only have several of them on the road tour... im thinking you will be alright, but i would like to hear from somebody who has done it... tony
NiteQwill 0 #3 October 3, 2009 If Sergio is on here somewhere he can tell you his experience with ZPX. I jumped with someone overseas for a bit that was able to stuff a Pilot 168 in a container made for a 190-210, if that tells you anything. YMMV."Fail, fail again. glgflyer 0 #4 October 3, 2009 Thanks NiteQwill. Maybe Sergio will chime in here and give me some info about his experiences with the pack volume of ZPX and whether he thinks the 168 will fit in my J3 safely.
verticalflier 0 #5 October 5, 2009 If your container was build to fit 150-170 main you will have no problem putting Pilot 168 ZPX in it. It will not be too small for it as it will fill your d bag. Les
pilot-one 0 #6 October 5, 2009 It will fit and it won't be too small. You will probably have to shorten the closing loop a bit though.
