heftee 0 #1 October 20, 2004 Allowing only one rig (no multiple rigs), how many jumps can you do in one day. Let's assume full altitude jumps versus HnPs. Let's assume the weather is good and planes are continuously flying. Let's also assume fastest packing method - whether it's you packing or someone else. Let's also assume money is not an issue. If you could jump as much as you wanted in one day with one rig, how many times do you think you could - reasonably? ------------------------- "If you've never jumped out of a plane, the best way I can describe it is it feels as if you've just jumped out of a freakin' plane." Vallerina 2 #2 October 20, 2004 I did 11 in one day not packing for myself. I doubt I'll ever do that many in one day again. Anymore, I'm done after 6 or 7 in a day. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
weegegirl 2 #3 October 20, 2004 Give me money, the rig, the packer, the altitude... I'll bring the energy. I've gotten 12 in a day before, and money was the only thing holding me back. I'd hit it hard and try for 20. Two rigs would make that much easier. My vote: more than 16.
DShiznit 0 #4 October 20, 2004 I made 9 full alti jumps in one day, packing all for myself, and didn't start jumping until 2pm a few months ago... I feel sure I could do 16+ if I wasn't packing for myself and started on the early bird load.

diablopilot 2 #8 October 20, 2004 Well it's not quite full altitude, but I've done 17 in a day from 10,500 AGL packing all my own and dubing 4 way video. We still had about 30 minutes of daylight left at the end of the day.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Merkur 1 #9 October 20, 2004 I would say for every available hour you can at least make two jumps on a one airplane (Twin Otter) DZ. So mid summer with first load at 800 a.m. and sunset after 800 p.m. this would be 24+ My personal best was 12 or so, packing on my own and doing at least 6 4ways with briefing and debriefing. The last one was more like a brain lock dive than anything else. On the other hand, I once watched the french 4 way team doing a training week with 16 jumps each day and they were finished around 2.p.m. each day(2 rigs, the fastest packer I've ever seen, a pilatus porter always waiting for them).vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! I did 10 in one day at the convention packing for myself outside in the 90 degree heat, but six is a much more comfortable number.
BillyVance 35 #12 October 20, 2004 The most jumps in a day for me, one rig, all packed myself, is 13. Thankfully that was on a Saturday. On Sunday I quit after 3 jumps and went home... just too sore... I was still achy by the following Tuesday. I still do up to 9 or 10 in a day once in a while... gordy 0 #13 October 21, 2004 At Eloy the best I managed was 12 in the one day with a combination of packing for myself, and using packers so I could go get lunch etc..... Racking them in is cool, but I prefer to have a bit of chill out time in between.....or maybe I am just lazy.... Although in Scotland your lucky if you get 2 in, in a weekend.... so there is an argument for racking them in when your away!!!!
karlm 0 #14 October 21, 2004 Ok, my record with some packing by myslef was 9 on thge Saturday & 8 on Sunday .... We fly a PC-6, I ended up on every second or third load and was finished by Sunday night. The best our DZ has done is 4 jumpers doing 100 jumps each in one day, each with fours rigs and exiting from 2500ft. Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there.
