Michele 1 #1 October 21, 2004 Hi, all. I'm designing my new business cards, and I want to incorporate skydiving in it. Problem is, I can't draw, and I can't find a silhouette of an inflated canopy. Does anyone know where I can get that? It will appear on a matte card, in red foil, and under it will be my motto. On the reverse of the card, there will be a picture of me waving in freefall, with the motto "when helping my clients, the sky's the limit" or "when my clients say jump, I don't ask how high." I'm trying to get it laid out by tomorrow, so that I can have them done by Monday.... Any help? Please? Or thoughts, comments, opinions, et cetera. Thanks! What formats can you import? re: insert? What type of canopy silhouette?? side view of canopy swooping- front view, view from under while in flight?? Would you need the image transparent- re: no background........ attaching 1 of my silhouettes as .jpg SMiles
YahooLV 0 #4 October 21, 2004 ahem............. why not a photo of you skydiving? Works for me! Curthttp://www.curtisglennphotography.com
Michele 1 #5 October 21, 2004 Curt, are you back in the air? You and I need to talk about a different project... As for this, on the back of the card will be me skydiving and waving...with the full motto of "when my clients say jump, I don't ask how high...I just jump." Smiles, I did get one from Jan and from Airdvr both of which would work. As to the rest of your questions, I have no idea...I just need something which will work in the top left corner of the business card...is this something I need to know about? I thought I'd just take the stuff to the guy and tell him "I want this..."... hooked 0 #6 October 21, 2004 Actually, Michele, if you have any type of publishing or card program on your computer, you could do the cards yourself. Save you some dollars. But then depends on exactly what kind of card you're interested in. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. YahooLV 0 #7 October 21, 2004 I've got some CRW that might be interesting. Also some group/4-way that looks pretty good. I'm using them on my cards. (Look up parachutes in GOOGLE, and you might find something you can use)http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
Michele 1 #8 October 21, 2004 Niether a card program nor a color printer...sadly. It's all right, though. I have budgeted for this, so it should be all right. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
smiles 0 #9 October 21, 2004 --you will do fine if taking to printers, they know their stuff. Many choices, and prices. I boobed large as my website url changed just after I ordered 500 cards printed. (the more you order the less the charge) A buddy in real estate for Re/Max "above the clouds" took quite awhile before company o.k.'d his card- instead of re/max balloon we designed a card with him launching from aircraft "above the clouds"...also remax eventually purchased a canopy with "remax" logo for him to jump at demo's. Michele 1 #10 October 22, 2004 LOLing at approval being needed...one of the great things about this company is that they don't "approve" things like that - it's up to me. Coldwell Banker prevented me for so long that it's weird to have this sort of freedom, but KW encourages it within certain parameters (such as their logo somewhere on the card, one legal phrase, and the like). Out of habit I asked my broker if it was all right, and he said "whatever you want...it's your money, your card, and your name. Have fun!" Well, I'm off to the printer's tomorrow....and hopefully I'll have my new cards by midweek next. Thanks for the help, guys! I'll post the finished product when I get it!
