Although we gave everything we had and lost, we played honorably and just lost to the better team. The bats that got us there went silent in the end. I rooted for Boston against the dreaded bottomless money pit that is Steinbrenner's Yankees but my loyalty remains in the NL. I think the Astros themselves would prefer the Cards over the Sox. Neither did I. I've been a diehard Astros fan since I could watch baseball. Seen them struggle, seen them in the NLCS with Mike Scott pitching the split finger etc.. So I've seen it all.. He lost us some key games (game six NLCS) because he choose to play future games with the line up, instead of trying to win the one at hand.
