Vallerina 2 #1 October 21, 2004 When all the otc medicines don't seem to be working, how do you get rid of headaches (and, no, I don't mean Remster)? I think sleep would do the trick, but I've been sleeping at least 10 hrs a night! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
sunshine 2 #2 October 21, 2004 Sleeping in Opie's bed. It would help if i knew where your head hurt. Sometimes the best thing for me is putting ice on my head. If you dont' have ice, go buy a soda out of the machine and hold the can on your head. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! skymama 37 #13 October 21, 2004 QuoteOn the right side just above my temple. That's exactly where I get headaches when my neck is out of whack or my shoulder muscles are too tense. Do you hurt there at all? I had a headache in my temple for the past week, so I went to my chiropractor and he fixed me up with an adjustment and electric stim on Monday. No headaches now.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

MarkM 0 #15 October 21, 2004 Try to find out what's causing the headaches. I used to have month long ones where alcohol would be the only thing that would reduce them. I was finally diagnosed with TMJ, got braces and that fixed the problem. Your doctor can also prescribe more effective headache medicine too.

Snowbird 0 #20 October 21, 2004 Try running a sink full of hot water, then soak your hands and wrists for five minutes. I'm with Andrea, chiropracters can be Gods for helping chronic headaches. So can acupuncture/pressure, and reiki. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Try a decongestant or nose spray. I hate the naisal spray but it helps a lot when I just can't take it. What is it with you women? I have never known a woman who does not carry her stress in her head/neck/shoulders. The universal headache remedy for women: two Excedrine tabs, a glass of wine or a shot of Petron, a hot bath, and a 15-20 minute neck massage. I'm pretty sure you can make the rest up on your own..._________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.
hooked 0 #25 October 21, 2004 Have to agree here! Because of stress and tension in my neck and upper back, I get a lot of headaches if I don't stay in adjustment. I always use a neck support pillow at night too. My Chiropractor always knows the right adjustment to get rid of my headaches. If I catch the headache soon enough a couple of Ibuprofen helps, sometimes. If not, then something with codiene in it helps, but usually only need one tablet.
