I don't know why the US doesn't come up with some great commercials. It is an interesting point. Brazil has awesome ones, so does the netherlands, germany and britian. Australia and New Zealand is also quite good, and off course South Africa takes the cake. But why not the US? I think that the population in the US is simply so broad and general, that if you want to advertise something to a lot of people, you cannot just appeal to one sense of humor. I guess that is the only thing that stops the US from coming up with a lot of funny ads. I wish that the US had a more defined sense of humor, like the Brits.
