adrenalinejunki 0 #1 October 24, 2004 I was thinking tonight about Bridge Day. There are atleast 400 skydivers show up every year to make a BASE jump. There are even more that just show up to watch. Why the hell don't we put together a boogie the weekend of Bridge Day? Maybe find a host airport somewheres close to the bridge, get a few turbines in there and just have a hell of a good time the Friday before and the weekend of Bridge Day. West Virginia is also a state without a drop zone and this would give everyone a chance to get their West Virginia jump. I think this could be a big event every year. What do you think????? __________________________________________________What's the worst that can happen?
Brian425 0 #2 October 24, 2004 Then we would all have to buy beer for our first skydive in West Virginis. I'm in, I'l buy the first case. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

hookitt 1 #4 October 24, 2004 It's one or the other. Either go to Bridge Day, or go to a skydiving boogie. Bridge Day is an event all it's own and thursday night, all of friday and all of saturday is part of it. Sunday... forgeddaboutit

A lot of people who haven't been to BD wonder "it's just one jump, how damn long can it take?" But there's a lot of red tape to be dealt with, and getting through it, seeing folks you haven't seen since last BD, packing your gear in the middle of the Holiday Inn hallway, making the jump, watching the video, eating the free pizza, staying up way too late on Sat night, and dragging your sicker-than-hell ass home on Sunday morning is all part of the process. WV does have a drop zone! Mountaineer Skydiving--- Some days it's not even worth the effort to chew through the restraints.
