lawrocket 3 #78 April 8, 2004 Raiders get another renegade - CB Ray Buchanon. We'll see if the Raiders do for him what they did for a "washed up" Rod Woodson. Also, looks like Eli Manning may have a good career in front of him. The Chargers have the #1 pick, and that would spell disaster for the poor lad. But, the Giants are lookign at swapping from #4 to #1 with San Diego. It's happened before, which gave Atlanta Michael Vick. My wife is hotter than your wife. cruzlite 0 #79 April 10, 2004 The NFL has told the Chiefs to prepare for the likelihood of a Dec. 25th reg-season night game... '04 Schedule to be announced this month... Broncos deal disgruntled cb Dealtha O'Neal & 4th round pick (117th overall) to Bengals for 1st round pick (17th oa). This moves Denver from 24 to 17 & I'm hearing QB & RB are probabilities... Also...will S Scharpe retire? Tuna, looks like you may have been right about KC going for a WR with 1st pick...(talk on local radio) I can only hope that the Chiefs will make moves to trade up or get something done in free agency to address their defensive needs...I would like to see new talent on the D line, LB, & CB...one each would be a good start. lawrocket 3 #80 April 20, 2004 Clarett's not gonna be in the draft. The appellate panel put a stay in the trial court's order. So long Clarett and Mike Williams. Let's see if Maurice can get himself reinstated into Ohio. I can't say I'm too upset about this. My wife is hotter than your wife.
tunaplanet 0 #81 April 20, 2004 Well the biggest free agent move just happened. Looks like the Pats are now even stronger...hell...downright scary after the Bengals traded them Corey Dillon. Wow. Forty-two
lawrocket 3 #82 April 20, 2004 Yeah, I am a bit upset about the Corey Dillon matter. He was supposed to be a Raider, dad gummit! Now we've gotta be happy with Wheatley and Fargas (a concept about which I am not too thrilled). My wife is hotter than your wife.

lawrocket 3 #84 April 22, 2004 Looks like Eli Manning (aka "His family") has told the Chargers, "Don't draft me!" I guess he wants New York or the Raiders. I hope the Raiders don't take him. Oakland hasn't developed a decent quarterback since Ken Stabler. I think the Raiders (and the Chargers, too) could both do well by getting Kellen Winslow, Jr. We'll see where this goes. I don't think that trading for Kurt Warner would be a bad choice for Oakland, either. He's got the arm that Davis loves, and Al likes QB's whom others gave up on, like Plunkett, Schroeder, Gannon, Blanda, Hostettler... Okay, so I'm Raider centered.. On the legal side, it appears that the Supreme Court has told Clarett to go do some more NCAA violations. My wife is hotter than your wife.
tunaplanet 0 #85 April 23, 2004 The Chargers will deal to NYG. I would be shocked if they didn't. It's for the best for both teams. NYG get a possible stud for many years to come and the Chargers will end up most likely nabbing one of the many great WRs in this year's draft. The Chargers are extremely foolish if they select Manning. Not because he doesn't want to play there but because Drew Brees is above average with the potential to be much more. They have more pressing issues (WR being the glaring one) that need to be addressed. Selecting a player with the #1 pick when you already have a young talent at the same position is not smart, especially when they have other areas that need immediate attention. Also, selecting a WR at the #1 pick is crazy for them when there are many stud WRs this year. The one they get at the fourth pick will be just as good as what they will get with the first. So it makes sense to trade down, get compensation and still get the same caliber player at the #4 spot. It's a win/win situation for both teams. Just my 2 pennies. lawrocket 3 #86 April 23, 2004 Patrick Tillman, #40 of the Arizona Cardinals, who declined a new contract to enlist in the Army and become and Army Ranger, was killed yesterday in Afghanistan. Makes me wonder whether Eli Manning will back off on his desire not to play for San Diego in the face of this news of one of the most remarkable men in recent US history. Some gave all.... tunaplanet 0 #88 May 9, 2004 Ok, let's see the latest news..... - Brees says he will be the starter this year. This is possible. I'm on the "Brees is good" side of the fence. I felt they should have gone with a WR in the first round. - Burress is a no-show in Pittsburgh. That's not good. Well, at least for Steeler fans. - 49ers Rattay tore his groin (fucking ouch). Will miss all of camp and most of pre-season most likely. Garcia is looking better and better, huh? - Palmer looks like he will be the man in Cincinatti this year. Can't wait to see how he does. I like the kid. Forty-two
tunaplanet 0 #89 May 9, 2004 You 49er fans better hope Rattay recovers from his surgery (I believe it's Tuesday) and stays healthy for the rest of the year. The last words you want to hear on a Sunday afternoon is the announcer with his booming voice, "And the starting quarterback for your San Francisco 49ers..........Ken Dorsey!!!!!" *cue cricket noises* I have 2 initials for you Niner fans. KW. I haven't heard anything yet, but I predict this could become a deal soon. Not sure how he would pan out in the West Coast offense, but I'm sure it's something everyone out there in the organization would love to see. I feel he will end up in San Fran or Dallas. The biggest hitch with the KW/49ers deal would be salary cap. I think (don't quote me) I read they only have 1.3 million to play with. Forty-two
lawrocket 3 #90 May 9, 2004 KW would be a good guy to start for the Niners. I'm just not sure who he would have to throw to. Speaking of throw-to guys, how's TO doing out there in Philly? My wife is hotter than your wife.
tunaplanet 0 #91 May 9, 2004 Well like I said, salary cap issues are going to hurt the 49ers in their pursuit for KW...or any QB for that matter. I read an article on the 5th of May about TO and McNabb regarding chemistry.. Looks like everything is ok for now. Personally I don't see any problems. TO will look extremely foolish if he comes to Philly and starts griping like he did in San Fran. All things should work out well. The person that will benifit the most...and you watch and see how his stats improve will be Pinkston. I predict a HUGE year out of him. He may beat out TO for TDs due to the double-team. Philly's nail in the coffin this year will be the running game. Sorry Philly fans, but Correl Buckhalter just isn't going to cut it regardless of what you say. They also have Westbrook, but neither will be effective. Too bad Duce bugged out just before things looked up. Forty-two

tunaplanet 0 #95 May 16, 2004 Nothing to reach for the ejection handle there, heh. Wasn't that huge of a loss. Sean Moran will most likely replace Wistrom. I also bet Leanord Little will be moved back to the LE slot. You also lost Brian Young. You still have Damoine Lewis I believe. There's also a lot of depth at your DT positions. So relax, buddy. All is well. Well as well as it will get for your crappy, piece of shit, sorry excuse for a NFL franchise. <-----Not a bitter Bucs fan, I swear! Seriously, if I had to make some sort of guess before pre-season has even begun, I would have to lay money on the Eagles or Panthers to represent the NFC. Those are your two favorites. Everyone else has issues that bother me. As far as the AFC, you got it right. THere is no one that will touch the Pats. Forty-two

lawrocket 3 #99 May 16, 2004 I think the Eagles do have a good chance. I'm sure you know my feelings about Terrell Owens by now, and I am wondering whether he'll prove me wrong. If TO can learn to be a "receiver" and quit being a "pass catcher" I think the Eagles will be a force to be reckoned with. Touching the Pats? Well, they have made some improvements. But, like my Raiders, what happens if the QB goes down? I don't think they'll have a losing record (their coaching staff is far too good). But, I don't know if they can win it all. Hopefully, the snob press will quit pumping up the Jets his year. Maybe if they do that, the Jets could compete. My wife is hotter than your wife. tunaplanet 0 #100 May 16, 2004 LawRocket, you are way off the mark. You keep focusing on TO. What you should be severely concerned about is the running game. Hopefully Buckhalter can step in and be as effective as Duce. I personally think he will be adequate. The Eagles and Panthers are definitly the teams to beat in the NFC. Hopefully my Bucs will turn around this year with that phenominal, new and improved offensive line. Forty-two
