tunaplanet 0 #1 March 11, 2004 I decided to make this thread for all football news and discussion seeing it is the offseason and didn't want to create a new thread everytime a free agent was signed and such. Me and lawrocket should keep it bumped quite a bit. So, I'll start it off by saddened news...John Lynch will not be back for my beloved Bucs. That hurts. Jermaine Phillips will have to step it up and play balls to the wall now. Other news..... - Streets signed with the Lions reuniting him with Mariucci - Panthers release Todd Steussi - Cowboys pick up DE stud Marcellus Wiley - SS Donavan Darius signs with the Jags - Owens dispute will be decided on Monday Peace Forty-two

tunaplanet 0 #5 March 13, 2004 Great pick-up by the Cowboys today. They signed Drew Henson from the Texans. Trust me Cowboy fans, you will love this kid. You will also love the fact that you picked up Marcus Wiley as well. Huge impact player. Not a Boys fan but have to say they are looking primed this year. tunaplanet 0 #7 March 13, 2004 QuoteIt's hard to get attached to teams now days, in fact, it downright sucks. Not hard at all to get attatched to a team. I have been a Bucs fan since the beginning and would never lose interest. Forty-two
jumpinjackflash 0 #8 March 13, 2004 Truly, I hear you.... I've also been a bucs fan, as well as Broncos, etc.... I'm just not liking the salary cap shit. Probably just getting really old. It's a gas, gas, gas...
PLFKING 4 #9 March 13, 2004 QuoteI decided to make this thread for all football news and discussion seeing it is the offseason and didn't want to create a new thread everytime a free agent was signed and such. Good idea....and thanks for keeping us updated....I don't get much time for SportsCenter any more. QuoteSteelers signed Duce Staley. Chances for a running game looking up. It's a start.....my guys still need a QB, though. QuoteDolphins close to getting David Boston. I don't understand why ANYONE in their right mind would sign him OR Terrell Owens. Quote Great pick-up by the Cowboys today. They signed Drew Henson from the Texans. Another ex-Wolverine QB Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all." tunaplanet 0 #10 March 13, 2004 Dwayne Rudd just signed with the Raiders. That LB group is looking mighty strong now. Forty-two

lawrocket 3 #12 March 15, 2004 QuoteTy Law will most likely not be back with the Pats next season. Yep, he's actually saying now that the "bridges are burned" and his contract offer was an "insult" at 16 million over the next 2 years. Also, James Parrish, the old OL, died. My beloved Raiders got Dwayne Rudd. SHould help with the loss of Romo and Eric Barton. My wife is hotter than your wife.
Slappie 9 #13 March 15, 2004 QuoteGreat pick-up by the Cowboys today. They signed Drew Henson from the Texans. He's unproven in the pros. It's still 50/50 if he can cut it in the pros. They signed him for an 8 year deal. So if he does cut the mustard, they've got a heck of a steal at QB.. My bets are this kid will be a gun in a few years. Cowpokes still suck monkey poo.. hate that team, always have always will.. Dagny 0 #14 March 16, 2004 So, has there been any word about Owens? I'm really interested in seeing how his grievance is going to play out....Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
tunaplanet 0 #15 March 16, 2004 QuoteHe's unproven in the pros. So is every rookie that comes out of college. Thanks for stating the obvious. I bet when the QB stands in the shotgun with no RBs in the backfield you yell, "I bet he passes it." Forty-two
tunaplanet 0 #16 March 16, 2004 Wow, the Bucs just picked up Todd Steussie. This is fucking fantastic. That's the third lineman we picked up since the free agency began. We now have Steussie, Deese and O'Dwyer. Great linemen. We also have Stinchcomb who was a former 1st round pick from the Raiders. This O Line is looking pretty good so far. tunaplanet 0 #17 March 16, 2004 Will be decided tomorrow. He talked to the arbitrator today. Forty-two
tunaplanet 0 #18 March 16, 2004 QuoteMy beloved Raiders got Dwayne Rudd. Yeah, I posted that a few posts up. Huge pick-up for them. He got hosed here in Tampa. They paid big bucks for him and they benched him for the year. He will be an instant impact player for the Raiders. Forty-two
lawrocket 3 #19 March 16, 2004 Considering that you guys got Stinchcomb, it's about even. I always loved the guys on the Raiders' O-line. Any of them will prove to be solid and adaptable. If you give TB's O-line two years to jel without any personnel changes, they will be force like Dallas in the 90's or Oakland or St. Louis of the 70's. (Most people forget just how good of an O-line the Cards had in the 70's. Dierdorf, Dobler on one side with Tom "Wolfman" Banks at center. That O-line allowed only 8 sacks in 1975! 8 sacks!) My wife is hotter than your wife.
tunaplanet 0 #20 March 16, 2004 Yeah. Deese is a huge gain. He hasn't allowed a sack in two years. Steussie is self explanitory. Stinchcomb looks like a stud. O'Dwyer is solid. Kenyatta Walker, feel free to pack yur shit and get the fuck out of Dodge anytime you feel ready. It's emberrasing watching you become someone elses bitch from week to week. Loser. cruzlite 0 #24 March 16, 2004 Yea it sucks... I like Vermille, but you gotta wonder what impact his lack of response to the helmet beating by Freeman had..? His old buddy Petersen (and he) are not gonna put up with a Rudd, or a Law, and yet they let a guy like Donnie Edwards go to San Diego ???
tunaplanet 0 #25 March 16, 2004 It's official. David Boston is now a Dolphin. Also, an inside source says Terrell Owens will get his wish and end up in Philadelphia. Should be announced tomorrow. Huge news for Eagle fans. Forty-two
