I'm excited about medical procedures! Am I a freak?

Recommended Posts

Even though I know there's nothing seriously wrong with me, the doctor wants me to get a CAT scan. I am really really really excited about it! :D I think it'll be really neat to see the pictures after they're done! I mean...I've seen pictures...just never of my head before! How cool is that?

They're going to pump me full of iodine to make sure the pictures come out GREAT!!!! :D I wonder if I get to keep the xrays when they're done with them....I'd frame 'em!
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Seeing different types of scans of your own body is pretty cool!

I'm feeling almost guilty for having this everlasting headache because I never thought I'd be lucky enough to get pictures of my brain at an age I can really enjoy it! Xrays of my teeth got really boring.

I was soo scared when i had one done...but afterwards it was soo cool! The stuff they inject into you makes you feel a little funky...but its kinda cool too! haha I never got to see my pictures though (course they werent of my brain either, but it still woulda been cool!)

Hope your headaches get better soon!

Hopefully you'll get some really cool pictures. I had a 5 month headache about 18 months ago, and got a full MRI/MRA of my brain. It's cool to be able to see the pictures rotate in real time.
Hopefully your hospital has a MR department that will burn the images onto a CD for you to take home and view. If you had hard copies, trust me, they won't mean much with all the images laid out side by side.:P

Good luck!

I'm not that lucky!!! That's really cool! I really just want to get the x-ray so that I can frame it and show everyone my brain.

Faking a headache just to get proof you have a brain is so lame even for you... :P:D

I've had two MRIs (before and after endoscopic sinus surgery) and the entire process was fascinating. I felt like I was in a science fiction movie, with my head stuck in this big doughnut while it whirled around just inches away.

And the "before" and "after" comparison was interesting as well.

I think health care people appreciate patients who take a keen and active interest in the proceedings, rather than just being all nervous.

On the other hand, it might annoy them more...:SB|:D
