bob.dino 1 #2 October 29, 2004 Make a B52, replacing the grand mariner with good absinthe. If you want to be brave, float the absinthe on top, light it, and drink the flaming shooter through a straw. Or, just water, sugar, and a lighter are fine and dandy.
Frenchy68 0 #3 October 29, 2004 Do a search, there's been few threads about absinthe. Be VERY CAREFUL with it though. And remember that you can not purchase it in the US! vt1977 0 #4 October 29, 2004 No shit there we were one evening at a DZ... Four people... one bottle of absinthe... gone in 45 minutes... (It seeemed like such a good idea at the time!) We tried the old trick of lighting sugar in a teaspoon, then dropping that in absinthe and drinking it - but we were a bit too drunk to get that to work! The aftermath was complete carnage. As I left, I remember seeing one guy passed out on another guy's bed with his head in a bucket... apparently one of them woke up to find themselves cuddling the other one's foot! As for me - I was literally green when I woke up and felt like I'd died all day. I was also in big trouble with the DZ Manager because 2 of the people I'd wiped out with absinthe were on the DZ staff! Never again! Vicki

There may well be cocktails out there with it as an ingrediant but I like it as it was intended. It's cool to make a green liquid go milky white with the addition of a clear liquid.
