Do you think I will ever have a jump #9?

Recommended Posts

I still have quite a ways for recovery. I have not given up my dream to resume AFF and enjoy the sky again. My doc says forget it, but it is my decision. If I recover enough, I plan to resume.

It's totally up to you. Risk/benefit analysis. We all have to decide if jumping is worth the risk.

What she said! Ultimately Chris, the decision will be yours, and you have to decide if jumping again is worth the risk. I'm with you on whatever your choice will be.

GOOD !!!

still have my fingers crossed for you.
Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Let me double that, Chris.

Like I mentioned a while back, whether you ever return to the air or not is immaterial, you are a member of this large, sometimes fractious, dysfunctional family called "skydivers".

Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.

Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Dude, you're already a winner, and just for the simple fact that you are considering going back to AFF.

The decision is yours, whichever will be, it will be the right one.

Vibes my friend.

Sending you good healing vibes.

Regardless of the jumping decision outcome, you have already done more than most people. Adding your accident on top of that makes things tough. I broke my hip, not even close to the same thing, but I just got in the tunnel last night after a painful 3 months. The tunnel took the edge off, maybe it could be an acceptable substitute if you don't jump again. I'm happy it will be preparing me for the sky but if I decided not to, I think I could live with just the tunnel.

You know, bud, I wasn't really sure which one to clickabove, as it really is your decision, not mine. I didn't want to pressure you either way in fact. That's when I read your post and found this:

I plan to resume.

Forget the ifs, ands, or buts, you answered for me right there, so 'yes' it is.

Looking forward to giving you your first hit of nylon crack in a few years, bud. You'll be ready by then, and I'll maybe even be a BMI. ;)
