jumpergirl 0 #51 October 18, 2004 Thanks Mouth. Travis has finally been moved to a regular room. He's not up to seeing anyone right now, but maybe by the end of the week or so. He did brake both ankles and has pins in the right one. He fractured his left elbow and has a few fractures (not breaks) in his pelvis. Overall... all things considered... he's fairly well. He's in good spirits and he knows he got incredibly lucky. He said he has thanked God for giving him a second chance which he certainly didn't expect. He said he is going to take full advantage of it from now on.
 pop 0 #52 October 18, 2004 Hope he getswell soon. He only broke his right ankle. They put pins in it and have him in a walking cast already. He has a lot of stitches on his left foot and knee. His left knee looked like someone too an ice cream scoop to it and scooped out a section! Very gross... but they pulled it together and stitched it up. He fractured his elbow and pelvis, but not very badly. He said they told him this morning that he may be able to leave soon, but he did't ask how soon. I can't wait to have him home with me. I feel like my other half is missing right now. Thank God he's able to come home soon... whenever that is. For that I am thankful. Squeak 17 #65 October 21, 2004 QuoteHe was trying to downshift, gave it too much gas, and lost control. He was coming to a stop light which was turning red, swerved to the left to avoid hitting the car right in front of him, crossed the parking lot of a corner gas station (thankfully closed so there were no cars) and came out of the other side, t-boning a car sitting on the other side waiting for their light to turn. He flew over the car and across the street, about 100 feet. I'm Really glad he is doing better However you should know that there is a whole buch of bike riders out here going "Man that would have looked insane" Hope he heals fastYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
jumpergirl 0 #66 October 21, 2004 Quote"Man that would have looked insane" I agree... from what I have been told it was a wild ride. Some old men were sitting on their front porch and saw it all. They said he looked like a cartoon character for a second. I don't want to imagine what it must have looked like.
AggieDave 6 #67 October 21, 2004 Since he's doing ok I can now say this. WTF was he thinking not getting atleast 2 different angles of video on a stunt like that? I've never met either of yall, but I've been really worried, checking this thread every time a new post came up hoping and wishing that he would be ok and that you would pull through the hard times ok as well.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
