jumpergirl 0 #43 October 16, 2004 Hey Chuck, yes, it was Derek's bike. As far as why he got the clutch and gas mixed up... you'd just have to know Travis. LOL He ma have just gotten confused. I haven't asked him specifically yet. I got to see him this afternoon about 2:15. He is still in surgical recovery waiting for a room in the ICU. I guess because of the pelvic injuries and the spleen bleeding they want to keep him in ICU for a little while. They weren't supposed to let me in to see him when I did but since he isn't right out of surgery I guess they decided it would be ok. He;s got great spirits and making jokes. He's said he has learned a great lesson the hard way and he knows he got a second chance which he wasn't expecting as he was flying across the road. This last 18 months has been hard on us. Thankfully we're strong and we can lean on each other and we have a great group of friends here. They certainly help since neither of us have family right here. Thanks for the vibes, PMs, and calls. It means so much to both of us.

jumpergirl 0 #45 October 16, 2004 I just called the hospital and was told that Travis is finally in an ICU room! I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever get to see him! I'm on my way to the hospital and will update again once I find out how he's doing. The PMs and calls are helping me more than I can tell you. Thanks so much. jumpergirl 0 #46 October 16, 2004 Well I just saw Travis. He's doing well despite being broken. He is still in ICU but they told him they are going to move him to a regular room sometime today. Again, I can't say thanks enough for all of the well wished, PMs, e-mails, and phone calls. It's nice to know who our friends are.
