dixieskydiver 0 #1 November 2, 2004 So I went home and everyone in my family told me I was getting fat. My Dad bet me that I weighed 180, normally I weigh around 165 lbs, so I went upstairs and weighed myself. I weigh 190!! Holy crap! How did 25 lbs sneak up on me!? OK, going to the gym now... flyangel2 2 #2 November 2, 2004 Have you noticed Mailin's sig line? She has been on a very strict diet and has lost 55 pounds. I see her in two weeks to play with Renee and me in the wind tunnel, and I sure I won't know who she is when I see her.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. mailin 0 #3 November 2, 2004 LMAO! I think your more excited about that fact than I am Mar Can't wait to see you and show off my skinny jeans! But, yep its pretty cool dixieskydiver: It comes on faster than you think it does, so don't be too hard on yourself. I'll never forget 8th grade - I put on 40 lbs. in the course of 9 months It always amazes me how easily it goes on, and how incredibly difficult it is to come off. Good luck!!!! Muenkel 0 #4 November 2, 2004 The gym is great, but diet is critical. In '01 I took off 40lbs in 4 months mainly by changing my diet. I exercised more, but I definitely think it was the diet. BTW, I hate to say this here, but I cut out beer during that time. One other thing, it is a biological fact that men lose weight at a faster rate than women. You can easily take 25lbs off in 2-2.5 months. _________________________________________ Chris

RevJim 0 #9 November 2, 2004 QuoteI'm going to have to up-size my canopy...have to switch to a club manta 288 or something...damnit! Naaaah. I was thinking of downsizing a couple of years ago, but couldn't afford a new canopy. Same effect, I quit smoking, raising my wingloading from 1.13-1 to roughly 1.4-1 in a short time. I'm back to thinking about a slightly smaller canopy again, so I am watching my diet, and have cut out ALL sugared sodas. Diet Coke has become a close friend. I drop those 15 pounds and it's 135-ish, here I come! It's your life, live it! Muenkel 0 #10 November 2, 2004 Also, eat slower! This is another trick you can try. When the food goes in your stomach it takes a while to send the signal to your brain that it is there. If you eat slower, you will eat less and feel just as full. _________________________________________ Chris
mailin 0 #11 November 2, 2004 QuoteWell Jen says that she isn't drinking while in Florida, but we'll see Hahaha! I'm sure Darius and Kelly can atest to if this is a good idea or not I don't eat anything on this diet so I'll get drunk just sniffing ta-kill-ya! But I have a tendancy to pass out and sleep on the floor, so if its your plan to get the bed to yourself, than getting me to drink would probably be a good idea! Jen ...how did we hijack this? ...Arianna Frances
flyangel2 2 #12 November 2, 2004 Hijack? It's weight related. Sweetie, if I wanted the bed to myself, you can bet I would figure out a different way to get you out of there. windcatcher 0 #15 November 2, 2004 25 lbs?! Dang boy...well, how tall are you? Guys definitely need to weigh a healthy amount, I hate it when I see a guy who is my height and weighs less than me. Guys should be muscular and firm! I need to lose probably 10-15 lbs, I'm not fat, ( just slightly curvy) and I can definitely carry more weight since I am tall, but still. A healthy body, lean and fit, w/ 15-20% of body fat, I think that's what I am aiming for. Dixie, lay off the beer! I need to cut out sweets, and then I'll be good to go!
