25 lbs

So I went home and everyone in my family told me I was getting fat. My Dad bet me that I weighed 180, normally I weigh around 165 lbs, so I went upstairs and weighed myself. I weigh 190!! Holy crap! How did 25 lbs sneak up on me!? OK, going to the gym now...

Have you noticed Mailin's sig line? She has been on a very strict diet and has lost 55 pounds. I see her in two weeks to play with Renee and me in the wind tunnel, and I sure I won't know who she is when I see her.

dixieskydiver: It comes on faster than you think it does, so don't be too hard on yourself. I'll never forget 8th grade - I put on 40 lbs. in the course of 9 months :S

It always amazes me how easily it goes on, and how incredibly difficult it is to come off.

The gym is great, but diet is critical. In '01 I took off 40lbs in 4 months mainly by changing my diet. I exercised more, but I definitely think it was the diet. BTW, I hate to say this here, but I cut out beer during that time.:P

One other thing, it is a biological fact that men lose weight at a faster rate than women. You can easily take 25lbs off in 2-2.5 months.

I take it two bags of hershey's kisses with almonds and a bag of reese's cups didn't help anything...I'm going to switch back to a ramen diet.

Whole grains and fresh foods are the way to go. You feel fuller, sooner. Really.

Naaaah. I was thinking of downsizing a couple of years ago, but couldn't afford a new canopy.

Same effect, I quit smoking, raising my wingloading from 1.13-1 to roughly 1.4-1 in a short time. I'm back to thinking about a slightly smaller canopy again, so I am watching my diet, and have cut out ALL sugared sodas. Diet Coke has become a close friend. I drop those 15 pounds and it's 135-ish, here I come!

Also, eat slower! This is another trick you can try. When the food goes in your stomach it takes a while to send the signal to your brain that it is there. If you eat slower, you will eat less and feel just as full.

I don't eat anything on this diet so I'll get drunk just sniffing ta-kill-ya! :D But I have a tendancy to pass out and sleep on the floor, so if its your plan to get the bed to yourself, than getting me to drink would probably be a good idea! :D:ph34r:

25 lbs?! Dang boy...well, how tall are you? Guys definitely need to weigh a healthy amount, I hate it when I see a guy who is my height and weighs less than me. [:/] Guys should be muscular and firm! :$
I need to lose probably 10-15 lbs, I'm not fat, ( just slightly curvy) and I can definitely carry more weight since I am tall, but still. A healthy body, lean and fit, w/ 15-20% of body fat, I think that's what I am aiming for.
Dixie, lay off the beer! :D
I need to cut out sweets, and then I'll be good to go!
