HoldtheIce 0 #1 September 17, 2009 Hi All, It's starting to get a little cold now, and I want to continue with my training program. I'm going to need some foul weather gear, e.g. goggles, neoprene face mask, gloves. Any recommendations? I’ve been looking around Ebay a little. Not much there for Skydiving….but there is a lot of stuff for motorcycles and snowmobiles. BTW, I'm in the Seattle area. Lot's of rain Thanks in advance. ~HoldCause they know, and so do I, The high road is hard to find A detour to your new life, Tell all of your friends goodbye
Harmless 0 #2 September 17, 2009 My favorite cold weather polypro" it works great. I also really like Under Armour's "Cold Gear" but it is much more expensive. Good socks are easy to find, any polypro liner with a second sock will do. gloves are a tough choice to balance between dexterity and warmth. I've used all of this while skydiving, motorcycling, and snowboarding in Utah."Damn you Gravity, you win again"

dragon2 2 #4 September 18, 2009 There's plenty of threads about cold weather gear, I personally love my warmsuit form Rainbow (Germany) they are the best ever. Not cheap though and not on ebay Ask your instructors and also see what every one else wears. ciel bleu, Saskia

Last weekend, I jumped - in the same climate as you - wearing shorts, t-shirt and sandals. Seriously, the last winter I spent in Snohomish, I wore multiple thin layers, starting with polypropylene long underwear, then cotton t-shirt, then turtleneck, then a thin fleece sweater, followed by Wind-Blocker fleece with a tall, zip-up collar. I wore similar on my legs. My hands were protected by bulky, down-hill ski gloves. I wore light hiking boots. My neck and chin were protected by a full-beard and a fleece neck-warmer. Neck-warmers are worth their weight in gold!
