You last jump

Recommended Posts

So say you know for a fact you will die tommorow.

You go and make your last skydive - you can include anyone, anything. what would you do?

or do you know of any people that decided to quit and had a memorable last jump?

Burn in. Why not? If you're gonna die at noon, known fact, then might as well make your last jump truely your last skydive, right?;):P

I had the honor of being on Steve Snyder's last jump.

We reenacted the first US baton pass between he
and Charlie Hillard...40 years to the day after it happened.

We were riding down the crowd line following the
jump, Steve shook my hand and thanked me for
being on "The last parachute jump I'll ever make"

The honor was all mine! B|

Couldn't do that to the sport...and all my friends!

I'd never do this to the sport and people I love. [:/]

BUT.... what I would do, is get all the headdown flyers I know and just go lead one HUGE full-on-mad flocking dive from like 30,000 so it would last a really really long time. I love flocking dives. I love seeing my friends' smiling faces upside down. Something about it makes me feel so incredibly alive. :)

I agree, although I havent' been there. YET. I would get my best buds and get everyone to fly HD around each other for the last time. Then i'd go b.t.e and watch them fall away and open, letting me just drop past them under canopy. Either that or a bunch of wingsuits. Then i'd go head down and close my eyes, crack a huge smile and laugh my ass off. You won't know a thing!

But what a tragedy!

When you could use those final moments to help all of mankind!

I would rather find a Mime convention....
Walk in and go POSTAL!

The world would truly be a better place.

A mime is NOT a terrible thing to waste!!

I don't know what I would do, but my last jump, if I get my wishes, is going to be an ash dive with my closest friends letting me go.

Be real careful there... there's not a lot of difference between the bodily motions of a mime and a deaf person!! :o:D Mimes suck though, they make us deafies look bad!! >:(

I know, I was trying to be funny...

Last Sunday, we had a pumpkin drop accuracy contest at West Tennessee. Drop runs in the King Air at 800 feet and 80 knots. I had written on my pumpkin "speak up! I'm fucking deaf!" :D

Now if they'd had a bunch of mimes instead of a large plastic pumpkin tarp as the target on the ground, I could have REALLY gotten my message across to those fuckwads! :D:D:D

DB Cooper style from around 20 grand, damn near stall speed on the 727, somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, in a Bird-Man suit, without the burdon of a rig.

Although that does have a certain appeal to it, nah. That last jump is for me, and once I keave the aircraft, it will be true DB Cooper style....never to be seen again (but people will wonder forever if I made it, so I better grab some cash on my way out. ;))

My last jump would be with peace in my heart...knowing that everything I've wanted to do has been done...that I've loved and have been loved. I would smile the biggest smile because I would know that I really LIVED my life to its fullest!:)

Frankly, if I knew I was going to die tommorrow, jumping wouldn't be on my list of things to do...

It's nice, but not that critical.
