airtwardo 7 #4 November 3, 2004 I had the honor of being on Steve Snyder's last jump. We reenacted the first US baton pass between he and Charlie Hillard...40 years to the day after it happened. We were riding down the crowd line following the jump, Steve shook my hand and thanked me for being on "The last parachute jump I'll ever make" The honor was all mine! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

I'd never do this to the sport and people I love. BUT.... what I would do, is get all the headdown flyers I know and just go lead one HUGE full-on-mad flocking dive from like 30,000 so it would last a really really long time. I love flocking dives. I love seeing my friends' smiling faces upside down. Something about it makes me feel so incredibly alive. I would get my best buds and get everyone to fly HD around each other for the last time. Then i'd go b.t.e and watch them fall away and open, letting me just drop past them under canopy. Either that or a bunch of wingsuits. Then i'd go head down and close my eyes, crack a huge smile and laugh my ass off. Last Sunday, we had a pumpkin drop accuracy contest at West Tennessee. Drop runs in the King Air at 800 feet and 80 knots. I had written on my pumpkin "speak up! I'm fucking deaf!" Now if they'd had a bunch of mimes instead of a large plastic pumpkin tarp as the target on the ground, I could have REALLY gotten my message across to those fuckwads!
