Vallerina 2 #1 November 5, 2004 (PhillyKev mentioned Christmas crap first, so I'm just following suit.) The next time you watch "A Christmas Story," think of me! For my family it's like going back in time every time we watch it. One of my grandfather's hung out with the real life younger brother (the kid in the snowsuit) and played ball with him. He also had the teacher that was portrayed in the movie. Both of my grandpa's frequented Flick's Tavern (you all remember Flick from the movie I hope! That's one of the best scenes!) Everyone still talks about the old Woolworth's (where the Santa scene was) and about when it was torn down. Basically, the movie is a neat little time capsule that I've always enjoyed, and my nephews will soon fully enjoy. I think it's neat that they'll get to see what Christmas was really like for their great-grandparents. It's definitely my family's favorite Christmas movie, and we all watch it non-stop! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
