VanillaSkyGirl 6 #26 November 9, 2004 Ev, I'm PMing you my new number, so we can talk about next weekend, ok? I am soooo looking forward to it! We will have so much fun!!! Love ya!
 Evelyn 0 #27 November 9, 2004 Sounds good Rosa. Looking forward to seeing you again! It is pretty easy to start up a conversation, about the color of someones jumpsuit/rig or something else skydiving related. I have found that manifest can be very helpful as well. Ask manifest to introduce you to someone who might want to jump with you. They will know who has similar experience levels and which disciplines the various jumpers are into. A great DZ will automatically introduce you to folks to jump with. I've been to Skydive Temple in Salado, TX about 3 or 4 times. The DZO, Rich, never fails to pair me up with another jumper to show me around and to make a few jumps with. I prefer jumping at smaller DZs, but large ones that are run right can be just as great. I once spent a week in Florida and jumped at 5 different DZs. They were all good, but Lake Wales was by far the friendliest. If you are ever in North Texas, let me know and we can make a jump or two together. Speaking in front of large groups of people helped me out a lot. At first I had to make myself do it, but over time it became more natural.
