Who do you hate more – Human Resources or Lawyers?

My Christmas holiday at the Empuria boogie is in jeopardy because the Human Resources lady couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery. Silly fucktard. She’s about as much use as a chocolate teapot. She’s had my holiday card now since the end of September and only today do I find out that I may not get the holiday I booked off.

On top of it all, when I complained to the senior partner I find out she’s lied to him and told him that the problem only arose because I changed the dates of my holiday? WTF? She’s had the form since September! That’s before the people with whom there’s a holiday conflict even started work at this firm! How in the hell am I supposed to have changed it? Why the hell would I try to change it after I started booking flights and accommodation back in sept?

Anyway… I know lawyers are pretty well hated in society in general. But I know human resources are hated too… just thought this poll might cheer me up a little.

Matt, I feel your pain...

After having been stung in a similar way once, I now fill in my holiday form, get it signed by whoever needs to sign it, photocopy it, then submit it and guard the photocopy with my life! That way there can be no arguments later. HR suck.

I had to go with HR because a couple of lawyers i know gave me some free advice when some **** hit and an me off my motorbike (cheers mate)

Just do what my staff do - become "cough cough" really ill a couple of days before you are due to go on the holiday you have been denied!

Yeah, I put in last month for vacation the week after Christmas. My partner is still fudging on it.

Hey, easy there bud! I may work in Human Resources some day after college: what else can I do with an Organizational/Interpersonal Communications major?
Besides, HR people play an important part in the business world. Not EVERY lawyer or HR person should be generalized as being asinine.

the thing with lawyers, even though they're pretty universally hated, when you need one, especially if you're being sued or charged with a crime or divorcing, you're awful glad to have one.

Nobody's ever grateful for the HR people. They just create problems and red tape.
