Muenkel 0 #1 November 12, 2004 I ordered a very expensive item and it was to be shipped via DHL-Airborne Express. Well it is 2 days late and I looked up the tracking number only to find that it was left at the door at some location in a town I never heard of. For all I know, the folks who received it has now stolen it. Signature was required due to how expensive the item was, but DHL didn't bother to get a signature. If they don't resolve this today, there will be hell to pay. Do yourselves a favor and use either FedEx, UPS or the postal service. _________________________________________ Chris
BlindBrick 0 #2 November 12, 2004 DHL really screwed me over. They forgot to pick up my main fromt he dealer and came back the next day to correct the problem. One catch was that they came by during his posted lunchtime. They leave a note sayign they will check back later and then come back by in 10 minutes! The promise to make it right by upgradig the shippign to next day so I have my main for a boogie but then proceed to ship it second day, thus ensuring that I didn't have a rig for the boogie. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." ChasingBlueSky 0 #3 November 12, 2004 I have had nothing but great success with them. In fact, every ground package I've sent or received has shown up early. All 3p Next Day packages have arrived before 10a. On the other hand I have had UPS and FedEx lose quite a few packages on me._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... WFFC 1 #4 November 12, 2004 QuoteDo yourselves a favor and use either FedEx, UPS or the postal service. As for UPS, I knew I should have taken a picture of the box my new Canon 20d arrived it. I politely refused shipment and asked the driver to take it back. I'm not thinking the box was supposed to rattle like it did. Anyhow, chill on DHL. It is possible that the shipper fubar'd the address in the mail room and doesn't want to admit to it. I've had it happen with all of them so it's a crapshoot when you send something. Anyway, that's what the insurance is for, just make the shipper deal with the issue and not you - not your problem it didn't get to you now is it?----- ~~~Michael
Muenkel 0 #5 November 12, 2004 I called DHL's customer service this morning. What a dipwad I spoke with. They refused to take any responsibility. I asked then for the manager...a bigger dipwad. Once again, no responsibility. They really know how to keep a customer. Anyway, in my frenzy last night, I did forget that I do have insurance. So now I have to go through that bullshit...but atleast I have insurance. Lesson learned: If you're going to ship a wife from the Phillipines, don't use DHL! _________________________________________ Chris
