Coffee

Recommended Posts

So...Peoria is now officially on the map. The newest Starbucks opened in P-town at 5:30 this morning. Like a bug to the bug light, I actually showed up a little bit before they opened and well, got free coffee and 2 pounds of beans for being the first customer...The question is, do I still owe beer?

I have gone off coffee. I will admit to having a couple of cups in the last 2 months, but even the g/f is amazed that I'm still on tea. Mind you I still make her coffee, I just get the pot boiling for myself and make tea too. The less caffine the better, and of course it keeps me out of the evil Starbucks:P In Canada they have yet to have a store on every block and we have work hard to keep it that way, wouldn't want anyone to impact Tim Horton's negatively and loose our source of doughnuts:)

I could do with a vat of coffee right now. Haven't slept for 25 hours, and probably won't for another 3 or 4. Work sucks sometimes...B|

I got myself an early Christmas present this year- the best coffee maker ever! A Hamilton Beach Brew Station! The coffee doesn't sit on a burner, so it doesn't cook and get bitter! The last cup is as good as the first! Just thought I would share.........

Stop by and get a cup of french roast and an almond croisssant. Take them over to B'nai B'rith on Sam J. Stone. My mother has never had Starbucks.

Jack Daniels just dosent go as well in Tea first thing in the morning!

Too True!

I found that almost any liquor goes well in coffee and very few that work with tea.

That's because Starbucks burns their coffee beans so that you get that wonderfully strong coffee smell when you walk in. If there's a Cosi or Gloria Jeans by you, try one of them. Although my preference is Cosi (course I do work for them and get to enjoy their coffee daily so....B|).

This is some FANTASTIC coffee. Full, rich, but not bitter. A 500g bag will last as long as a 2 lb bag of most American coffees.

Give it a try...great stuff!

Note: It only takes about 3-4 rounded spoonsful for a full pot with this stuff!

I think I'll need to take a couple bags back to SD Houston with me come spring...get em all hooked!

I love you, Shannon and Jim.
