WFFC 1 #1 November 12, 2004 So...Peoria is now officially on the map. The newest Starbucks opened in P-town at 5:30 this morning. Like a bug to the bug light, I actually showed up a little bit before they opened and well, got free coffee and 2 pounds of beans for being the first customer...The question is, do I still owe beer?----- ~~~Michael

IanHarrop 42 #5 November 12, 2004 I have gone off coffee. I will admit to having a couple of cups in the last 2 months, but even the g/f is amazed that I'm still on tea. Mind you I still make her coffee, I just get the pot boiling for myself and make tea too. The less caffine the better, and of course it keeps me out of the evil Starbucks In Canada they have yet to have a store on every block and we have work hard to keep it that way, wouldn't want anyone to impact Tim Horton's negatively and loose our source of doughnuts"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

tigra 0 #11 November 12, 2004 I got myself an early Christmas present this year- the best coffee maker ever! A Hamilton Beach Brew Station! The coffee doesn't sit on a burner, so it doesn't cook and get bitter! The last cup is as good as the first! Just thought I would share......... IanHarrop 42 #16 November 12, 2004 QuoteJack Daniels just dosent go as well in Tea first thing in the morning! Too True! SMiles That's because Starbucks burns their coffee beans so that you get that wonderfully strong coffee smell when you walk in. If there's a Cosi or Gloria Jeans by you, try one of them. Although my preference is Cosi (course I do work for them and get to enjoy their coffee daily so....).Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. mnealtx 0 #25 November 13, 2004 This is some FANTASTIC coffee. Full, rich, but not bitter. A 500g bag will last as long as a 2 lb bag of most American coffees. Give it a try...great stuff! Note: It only takes about 3-4 rounded spoonsful for a full pot with this stuff! I think I'll need to take a couple bags back to SD Houston with me come spring...get em all hooked!Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim.
