What's in -your- egg nog this year?

Recommended Posts

:)
So, got some holiday egg nog here and did some research on this forum about what made it even better.

THIS THREAD taught us about:

1) Rum
2) Nutmeg
and
3) Gingerbread syrup.

What's in -your- egg nog this year that makes it yummy? :o

Licorice? Really?!! The black flavored kind? American-type or Scandinavian? They're -really- different from each other.

Ya got me there, Buddy. The Black licorice flavored syrup you but in the big brown bottles at the Hippie Natural food marts... It's just labled "Licorice root Syrup" on the front -

It's REALLY good, I'll be you could find some flavoring at the supermarket, buy a little and give it a try!!

Seeing as I'll still be stuck here at Camp Bondsteel for the holidays, I'll either:

A) Go off-base and find something to put in there ;)

B) Get really wild and just put some 7-up or Sprite in the chowhall eggnog (it's DAMNED thick)

Camp Bondsteel

Sounds intriguing. Is that where the delicious James Bond lives? :P

ltdiver

No...but I can pretend to be... ;)

It IS home to about 2000 troops of various nationalities, though.

Southern Comfort!
Cajun Eggnog

---------------------

Southern Comfort -in- your eggnog, or is it by its pure self called the Cajun version of eggnog? (excuse my ignorance).

Now THAT could be damned good.... that'd almost qualify as an "ambush drink". Goes down smooth, put a little fire in the tummy, then when you get up the floor smacks you in the face....

Coon-asses are all differnt!
But here's my recipe.

Blender, ice, 3oz. Southern comfort, fill to top with eggnog, and blend away!

Soy beans!

Really?! What's the world coming to? Vegetarian egg nog!? :o

ltdiver

Can you really call it egg nog if there's no eggs in it? Wouldn't it be soy nog?

Or maybe just 'snog'! :P

Which is British slang for kissing, if my memory is correct.... ;)
