2fat2fly 0 #1 November 15, 2004 My trip to Florida fell through and I'm scrambling to book my week. Is there a fair amount of aviation activity around Birmingham?I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
kinney29 0 #2 November 15, 2004 There's a place North of B-ham up I65. They fly a Beech 99. Decent place but narrow landing area. I had a great time there and the people were extremely friendly. If I figure out the name I'll let you know.

They own their own King Air, not a Beech 99, although I think they may have had a Beech 99 for a few weekends a year or so back... Great people, great vibes. The landing area is no worse than most DZs. Yeah well, Cullman is where just about all the jumpers who used to go to Pell City before ASC took over goes to now. And well, a King Air trumps the Porter... Maybe I'm biased, but Pell City was my home DZ for 7 YEARS until ASC ran my old DZO out of business. I tried the place under the new management a couple of times, and I would much rather drive the extra hour and 30 minutes to Cullman to jump!
