A cat PEED on my rig...!!!

Recommended Posts

It's true. A neighbor cat got into my garage (I have no pets) and urinated all over my PC (it was damp and disgusting...>:() and the left side of my harness...3-ring cover and risers. I am SOOO mad!!!!!! >:(>:(>:(

I have no proof of which f*cking cat did this. I am having riggers wash and dry my main and rig and take out my reserve and inspect it and make sure the damn cat urine didn't get into it...then re-pack it. I'll be paying $75 for all that...after all, I am getting a reserve re-pack in there...it's just 4 weeks early. :S[:/]

So I REALLY want to give this $75 bill to one of my neighbors and I'm pretty sure which cat it was, as the damn thing is always trying to get into my garage...but again, I have no definitive proof of which of these stupid felines it was.

Pisses me off when peoples' f*cking pets destroy other peoples' property. Another neighbors dog chewed up the side of my front door!!!! >:(>:(>:(

I was thinking about doing flyers that read: "Please control your pets. A neighbor's cat entered our garage at some point and urinated on $5000 worth of skydiving equipment which will now have to be disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and repacked by a certified rigger...and another neighbor's dog has destroyed the molding on our front door. We are animal lovers at our house, however, if your pet is found on our property again, we will be calling animal control and billing for any further property damage.'

I dunno, what do you think? Think I'll talk to the homeowner's association...[:/]

That SUCKS! I know a cat like that... but I wouldn't put up a flier advertising that you have expensive skydiving equipment in your garage. I would complain on some level to the neighbor or the HOA.

sucks to be you dude, cat piss is the worst.[:/]

You should get the 75 dollar bill and go and give a copy to all of your neighbours letter boxes that have cats. Surely there will be one neighbour that will think it is justified and pay the bill.

I just may do that...then hopefully someone will step forward. I'm selling my jumpsuit for $75 so I can pay for the cleaning and repack. -Jumpsuit doesn't fit me, but I was keeping it for a pattern to make a new one...[:/] Oh well. I'd rather it go to someone that can use it anyhoo, but $75 is a good day of sky-jumping for me...>:(

We had trouble with a neighbor's cat like that when I was in college. The cat would constantly jump up and tear our screens out of the windows (ripping the screens in the process). The cat got up on my roommates car and scratched the heck out of the hood. He bought a car cover and the cat tore it to pieces.

We complained to the owners to no avail, and complained to the neighborhood association and were essentially told "not our problem, deal with it." Finally we ended up trapping it in a box and bringing it down to the management office (that everyone had a key to as laundry was there also) and let it go inside.

Let's just say that management decided to care after that. I don't know what the final deal was, but the cat was kept inside for the next month or so and then the people moved out.
Killing threads since 2004.

The rig was left unpacked in my garage intentionally so I could get a breeze blowing through to get all the dandelion fluffies and bugs out...yes I was in a rush getting home, as I always am. I run a business out of my garage and store cases of products out there. My door is frequently open for deliveries and pick-ups.

No I don't blame the cat...the stupid animal was just doing what stupid animals do (sorry, I've got no love for felines) but the owner should keep control of it. I don't let my kids destroy their damn pansies and flower bushes, they should keep their pets in their own yards. -Besides which my kids are very allergic to cats...I won't have them coughing and wheezing because some pet owner can't control their animal.

I guess the point is I'll be letting the Homeowner's assoc know, and buying some hooks to hang my rig up higher on my garage wall...but if that cat came in and destroyed my inventory, I'd be just as ticked off.

cats can get through open windows as well, and that would be just stupid to say that he shoild have his office (garage) windows closed at all times.
Stop sticking up for the cat over a fellow human/skydivers comapny and way of living.

Wingnut if I don't lock my front door, and you walk in anyways and destroy my stereo equipment, you'll be talkin' to the police. (Of course THAT would never happen because you out of state sky-jumpers never come over to see us Seattleites anyhoo...:(

A cat is an animal that has no sense to leave other peoples' property alone. The owner is still liable if they let it run around the neighborhood and ruin other people's things. My kids don't understand about property damage and social implications of just barging into someone's house; but if I didn't keep them under control and they ran into a neighbor's yard and ruined their garden or into their home and destroyed something of theirs, I would be accountable to that.

and as for out of state skyjumpers not coming to visit...well, seatlle is a long way from here and in the opssite direction that my family is......some daythough......

Agreed, and I'd be incredibly annoyed if I was you, Acme girl. The neighbors need to figure out how to keep their animals out of their neighbors' property, imo.

Bingo! FlyingJ wins the prize

Don't get mad get even don't say nuthing, Get a live trap and leave it in your gargage and trap a cat ... any cat.

A distraugh owner will post flyers in the hood offering a reward for the return of their poor lost kitty.

After two or three cats you should break even. No way is someone going to think/admit that their kitty cat did the dirty deed unless you collect DNA from you rig and their cat:|

Either collect the reward (get even) or get over it.:)

get a sponge. break it into small pieces about right size for a cat to eat. wet it. compress it and tie with string. soak it in something yummy for cat tuna juice or something... put aside to dry. when dry unite string.. leave out for cat. cat eat sponge it'll get wet expand. cat can't shit.. and dies!

only good cat is a dead cat...

don't ask me where I got this idea from either..

best idea yet, but when you catch it i think you should torture it first, and get it to admit that it did it, do not let it go until it admits it did it. Have many buckets of water ready. tie the cat up and throw one bucket over it every time it gets dry. do not starve the cat though as that would be cruel, so feed it dog food, the best dog food you can find. make it watch repetative shows of lassie.
This cat will soon tell you that it did it and where it came from, hell it might even pay the bill.
If not though, just shoot the thing.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm going to place notes on the 2 cat owners' doors, and have the Homeowner's assoc. publish something in the newsletter. If the owners are decent enough to offer to cover my expenses, I'll be happy...surprised, but very happy. After that, I'll close the garage door on the kitty and walk over to the owners and ask for $75 for their furry little monster back...:P Mwahahahahaaa, I'll be branded a 'cat-napper'...>:(

I think that you don't really want to advertise that you have $5000 worth of skydiving equipment in your house to the whole neighborhood.

You have my sympathy about the whole situation, though. That truly sucks. If I were you, I would seek to trap the cat on your property, and turn it over to animal control, informing them of the name of the owners. Let them have to pay to get a cat with no tags on (does it have ID tags?) back from the pound! Maybe "accidentally" get some spray paint on the cat that the owners will have to deal with. (Maybe if they get so upset that their cat came to some minor harm, they'll take seriously their responsibility to it.)

Ohh... shit... there's a homeowners' association?!
Why didn't you say so?!

They've GOT to have bylaws about pets! Prove that someone's pet got onto your property and you got 'em by the short hairs!! :P
