Chrissay 0 #1 November 16, 2004 I am currently an AT&T customer and was planning on switching to Sprint in the next month or so (mostly for their Sprint to Sprint calling and after 7 pm nights). I don't like AT&T's coverage, my calling plan was 'ok' and my phone sucks (motorola POS). But I have already noticed since Cingular and AT&T have joined a better signal in places I use to not be able to talk at all. It appears they have a huge coverage area, rollover minutes and customer to customer calling. So I was wondering what other peoples experiences have been with Cingular, I live in Michigan if that matters at all.
brits17 0 #2 November 16, 2004 Good! I'm 'specially down with the rollover minutes, and the same great plan I'm on still applies. ... and for the record, I was with Sprint for 2 years and counting the days until my contract expired, so I could switch over. The change was well worth it _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
ladyskydiver 0 #3 November 16, 2004 I've got Cingular. I've been with them for a little over 7 years. Their service is good. I've had coverage in locations in MI that a friend of mine didn't with her provider.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. justaflygirl 0 #4 November 16, 2004 Is the merge a done deal now? Any cingular rep I ask has no idea, I have been with cingular for 3 years and love their service, I had had ATT before and like the majority of thier customers (past & present) I hated it. Cingular, however, gets two thumbs up in my opinion.
Chrissay 0 #5 November 16, 2004 QuoteIs the merge a done deal now? I think it is pretty close to being a done deal. I received an email from Cingular the other day, I haven't gotten a chance to really read it yet but here is the link http://www.newcingular.com And thank you everyone for your responses, I really appreciate it . I am definately going to look into Cingular more instead of Sprint.
SpeedRacer 1 #6 November 16, 2004 I am finally ready to join the 21st century & finally get a cell phone. What's a good plan? I don't talk on the phone very much, so I will never be one of those pathetic morons who can't go 5 minutes without talking on their cell phone. so I don't need a lot of minutes. the cingular website has a lot of broken/f*&ked up links. - Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

ChasingBlueSky 0 #8 November 16, 2004 The merge is a done deal now. My GSM phone now reads "AT&T/Cingular" on the display. I have better coverage now than I ever have before. Last night on the way home I went thru a typical dead spot and didn't drop the call at all!! On top of the rollover minutes (thats cool!) I have free mobile to mobile calls to anyone on AT&T or Cingular now. I was going to drop AT&T because their customer service is piss poor, but I stuck it out to see how this merger would be. So far I am happy with the first month of the merger._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... weegegirl 2 #9 November 16, 2004 Chrissy... Do you get service at the dropzone?? I've always gotten pretty decent service with Sprint out there. But now I'm considering switching too. I've been down in DC all week and have had the shittiest service ever with Sprint. Plus, I'm pretty sick of their plan. It's great if you never go over, but the second you go over, your phone bill tripples!! I want rollover minutes.
Gawain 0 #10 November 16, 2004 QuoteNow that Cingular and AT&T have joined... Their network technology still s*cks. Sorry, I'm a die-hard Verizon Wireless fan. Their customer service has always helped me, and I've never had a coverage problem. Just my $.02So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Chrissay 0 #11 November 16, 2004 QuoteChrissy... Do you get service at the dropzone?? I get service in certain areas at the dz. But, I have not been out there since the merger, and yesterday I past through a spot in ann arbor that is normally a dead zone and my call did not get dropped and my phone call did not get interrupted at all. I think partially it has to do with my phone, I use to have a little Nokia 3360 and got a great signal but then I bought a Motorola flip phone (POS) and ever since then my reception has not been as great.
