ccowden 0 #1 November 18, 2004 I know he was back playing for Voivod, but is he also playing bass for Ozzy while on tour?
rower 0 #2 November 18, 2004 I believe that he is still the bassist for Ozzy. Ironically, Robert Trujillo, the former bassist for Ozzy is now the bassist for Metallica.
ccowden 0 #3 November 18, 2004 Cool. Robert Trujillo did his best work with Suicidal Tendencies. I don't really think he fits into Metallica very well. Suicidal Tendencies rules! Pioneers I tell ya! Pioneers! I don't think they get near the respect the deserve. They were doing the whole rap-funk-metal thing WAY before it was cool. Rage Against the Machine took it to the next level, and now everyone is doing it. I think they call it "metal core" now.
Zenister 0 #4 November 18, 2004 "back playing for Voivod..." wow does that sound out of place... ccowden 0 #6 November 18, 2004 Yes, but without Suicidal, there would be no Infectious Grooves.

MrHixxx 0 #9 November 18, 2004 Speaking of pioneers, I think Voivod is/was one of the most pioneering bands for death metal. Especially with how their sound has evolved. There are not too many metal bands that dare to be that different from album to album. Also, Blackie's bass sound on Nothingface was cooler than anything Trujillo or Newstead have ever had. Absolutely ominus and sinister, good stuff. -Hixxxdeath,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
ccowden 0 #10 November 18, 2004 So is Blackie the bass player for Voivod? It was my understanding that Newstead was playing for them. Or was that just on Ozzfest? I haven't checked out any new Voivod. I will have to do that.

MrHixxx 0 #12 November 18, 2004 Blackie is the original bassist for Voivod. He was on Roarrrr, Killing Technology, Dimension Hatross, Nothingface, and Angel Rat. I personally liked his sound/production on Nothingface. It was one of the biggest baddest bass sounds I've ever heard. -Hixxxdeath,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
ccowden 0 #13 November 18, 2004 Suicidal is still one of my favorite bands. I thought Infectious Grooves was a bit too "funny" for my taste. Like Suicidal gone mainstream.
kai2k1 0 #14 November 18, 2004 Suicidal is one of the best bands EVER! I seen them in Nurenberg Germany, on hitlers field. They warmed up for metallica, and honestly i thought they blew metallica off the stage.
