PhreeZone 20 #3 November 18, 2004 >The container is worth at least $1300, the Reserve at least another $900, The main at least $1300, and the Cypress $1,000... Actually... Container is more like $1000 or less, its not exactly a size thats in huge demand. the Reserve is about $800, the main you'll be lucky to get more then 1200 for it. Realistically... the main is about 1000-1100. Cypres, how new? Punch it in on the Cypres calculator at cypres-usa.com. For the complete rig your lookat at probally $3500-3800.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

rhino 0 #7 November 18, 2004 I'm getting it rebuilt.. We are STUCK in the car. No real choice but to get it repaired. It's a Saturn, L200, 2001...
flyangel2 2 #8 November 18, 2004 Can you make payments to the shop that is doing the repair work? Or better yet, contact your local community college and see if there is a Auto Mechanic program there. They will fix it for just the cost of the equiment.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Islandcool 0 #9 November 18, 2004 It may be possible to get and LKQ (used) with a 12 month warranty for less than $1k then the labor for the install. It may save you about a grand. I dunno if that helps. Sorry, I've got no resources in Michigan.
rhino 0 #10 November 18, 2004 I have a job that requires me to have transportation... It was a timing thing.. If I didn't get it fixed quick fast and in a hurry I lose the job.. That wouldn't be a good thing at x-mas time... Thanks man... I could make payments, 4x$600 payments.. I'd rather just knock it out...

AggieDave 6 #18 November 19, 2004 Go to a junk yard and get another transmission. You can most likely go and pull one out of a junker pretty cheaply.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
skydiver30960 0 #19 November 19, 2004 Sorry dude, I couldn't imagine what I'd do right now if the same happened to me. I hope you don't have to sell your rig, cuz after that you could only make one more skydive. AggieDave 6 #23 November 19, 2004 I firmly believe that most repairs don't require mechanically inclined people. All they need is a manual, some wrenches and a desire. Especailly something as simple as a transmission swap.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Yeah, a lot of variables...that's what makes it fun and interesting. You won't touch foreign FWD cars, eh?
