RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 November 20, 2004 Just scrolled thru the channels and noticed that the Wizard of Oz is on. As a child, that movie FREAKED me out and gave me nightmares...perhaps it was those little monkeys and the bad witch "I'll get you, my pretty" "I'm melting...I'm melting..they're destroying my beautiful..." "There's no place like home...there's no place like home" _________________________________________
ccowden 0 #2 November 20, 2004 The part that freaked me out the most was at the end when the scarecrow unties the balloon and then pretends he doesn't know what happened. Or was it the tin man? Either way, it freaked me out!
RkyMtnHigh 0 #3 November 20, 2004 There's a lot of "ha, ha, ha" and singing and skipping along...but I still remember how FREAKY this movie was YIKES! The witch just wrote "SURRENDER DOROTHY" in Black in the sky! _________________________________________

Sheenster303 0 #8 November 20, 2004 You know what? I was actually thinking of the exact same thing when I saw it on TV earlier when I was flipping. I always thought of Wizard of Oz as one of my favorite movies, but the more I think about it, the more I realize how much that movie really scares and freaks me out. I remember being so scared of the Wicked Witch! Not that it is any different now. Everytime I see the witch now I get this feeling in the pit of my stomach. I do believe that it is because of that movie that I am sooo scared of tornadoes. I would never want to look out the window during crappy weather because I was scared I was going to see a witch fly by.I'm so funny I crack my head open! RkyMtnHigh 0 #9 November 20, 2004 Definitely those monkeys...I'm ssshhhh*37*psst and they STILL FREAK me out! They're marching right now..."ooooh oh, oh eeeee oh..." _________________________________________
ccowden 0 #10 November 20, 2004 Did you know that those marching monkeys are actually saying words in that chant? "All we owe. We owe her."

RkyMtnHigh 0 #13 November 20, 2004 The monkeys' chanting: "alll we owe..we owe here"...I perhaps misinterpreted that as a D-word comment for those who've gone thru it...and I was the one that f'n paid it all for the past two...sorry Chris _________________________________________
ccowden 0 #14 November 20, 2004 No, no sweetie. That is ACTUALLY what the monkeys are chanting. "All we owe, we owwwwwwwe her." "her" is the witch.
BGill 0 #15 November 20, 2004 Quote The monkeys' chanting: "alll we owe..we owe here"... I've heard a bunch of different interpretations of what they're actually saying. I agree with you and think its that one but ive also heard "oh we loathe the old one", "all we are, we owe her", and others but my brain just died and I can't think anymore
Sheenster303 0 #16 November 20, 2004 I just like to think it was some random noise that the guards made. That chant scares me too just because it was associated with the witch.I'm so funny I crack my head open! P.M.S. #
