gjhdiver 0 #1 November 19, 2004 I didn't think it was possible, but I think I had the perfect Motorhead experience yesterday. I was lying flat on my back having a front tooth drilled out at the dentists, and there was a 64 inch overhead plasma TV to watch. Just as he started in seriously drilling. Motorhead came on and did Ace of Spades. Absoluteley perfect. Serendipity, and probably the first time that Motorhead ever helped put a filling in rather than vibrate one out. Greatest. Band. Ever. Loudest anyway. Not sure about greatest.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

gjhdiver 0 #5 November 19, 2004 Quote Loudest anyway. Not sure about greatest. It takes a while to fully appreciate them. It's a kind of thing where you either get it or you don't, a bit like The Ramones. To see Motorhead live when they are on form in full red-eyed fury is a magnificent thing. Mind you, when they suck, they really suck. I like it like that though. They put to shame just about any nu-metal band that has a middle class white singer that complains about his dad. i.e. all of them. Go read Lemmy's autobiography, White Line Fever. It's an enjoyable trip down memory lane for us old British farts that grew up in the 50's and 60's. You'd enjoy it for sure.

Yes, yes, but to put "sublime" and "Motorhead" in the same sentence is, well, original to say the least.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Zenister 0 #7 November 20, 2004 saw Motorhead in a tiny school gym in Besmer AL..... its was easily the loudest sound i've ever experienced and i've been on flight lines and artillery ranges all over the world.... Lemmy is the fucking Man..... "everything louder than everything else...." but i believe Deep Purple still has the record for loudest concert performance.....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
