TSA information

On the way to work this morning I heard the news guy say anyone traveling this week, or in the near future, needs to check out www.tsa.gov to get the latest on flying security and the new security procedures that have gone into effect recently. So, since we're flying tomorrow, I went to the site to see what they said. I didn't see anything other than the normal stuff. Does anyone know anything about this?

They're probably mentioning it as a PSA. Thanksgiving weekend is the busiest flying weekend, so they are letting you know to expect backups.

they are making you take off shoes if soles are thicker one inch and they are doing increased amount in pat downsearches etc (thats really pissing people off..seems somethese TSA people are gropping woman)

Pat-downs are supposed to be same-sex. If they aren't, that's a violation and should be reported.

So far, that's what I have found. I haven't had any problems with the pat-downs. I got the impression from the report this morning that the pat-down may be more... invaiding? One of the teasers to the story said something along the lines of "you had to take your shoes off before, now it may be more" or something to that effect.

Just watch out for the rubber glove exam...those things are a little much for just flying with a carry on..

Well all of this is making me wonder... Travis has a plate and pins in his ankle now. The doctor gave us a card for the airport security, but will that hold us up longer now?? Dammit... an no underwire bras?? Now what the heck am I going to do!?!?

p.s. we have a jumper at skydive utah that is a tsa screener... everytime i goto the airport her in slc with a rig them mentionher...lol.... atleast at slc we have somebody on the inside informing people......
